Dj, Productora y Comunicadora audiovisual, nacida en Buenos Aires y establecida en Mar de Plata. Fuertemente influenciada por el sonido de los 2000, ha logrado capturar la esencia de una gama de sub-géneros como electro, acid, breakbeat o minimal. Esta versatilidad le ha llevado ha presentarse en clubs de Mar de Plata, Bahia Blanca y Santa Fe entre otros. @laymajakin comienza a pinchar discos a mediados de los 90; a los 16 años ya pisaba cabinas y raves de su Cádiz natal, influenciada por la escena UK breaks y US breakbeat, que empezaba a sonar con fuerza en el sur. Tras una etapa en Atlanta, donde conectó por primera vez con los platos y el funk, su estilo fue tomando carácter. Pasó más de una década en Madrid, donde se volcó en el electro y el techno, y consolidó una técnica sólida: tres platos, melodías, bases y scratch como sello propio. Actualmente, residente en Mallorca, ha sido vista en eventos como Tramuntana Festival o Diskette Dance Format. Sus sets son potentes y dinámicos, mezclando estilos entre old school, techno, trance, electro y acid breaks, siempre con estilo propio y el carácter del sur.

Layma Jakin started spinning records in the mid-90s; by the age of 16, she was already playing at parties and raves across her home in Cádiz, influenced by the rising UK breaks and US breakbeat scenes that were beginning to resonate strongly in the south of Spain. After a season in Atlanta, where she first connected with turntables and funk, her sound began to take shape. She spent over a decade in Madrid, immersing herself in electro and techno, and honing a solid technique: three decks, melodies, grooves, and scratch as her signature. Now based in Mallorca, she has performed at events like Tramuntana Festival and Diskette Dance Format. Her sets are powerful and dynamic, blending old school, techno, trance, electro, and acid breaks, always mixed with own style and southern soul.
