Modes About Me is a genre-defying trio from Niagara Falls, New York, known for blending alternative rock, pop, hip hop, and acoustic elements into a cohesive, emotionally charged sound.

The project began as a solo creative outlet for Mark, who started writing and producing music that didn’t fit neatly into one category. What started as a personal side project soon grew into something bigger when he recruited his childhood friends, Dave and Miller, both long-time musicians who shared his passion for experimentation and emotional honesty.

Together, the trio shaped a sound that thrives on contrast — heavy yet melodic, structured yet fluid, vulnerable yet powerful. Their music draws inspiration from the energy of Niagara Falls and the emotions of modern life, exploring themes of self-discovery, mental health, love, and resilience.

Modes About Me’s songs shift naturally between genres — from guitar-driven rock and soulful acoustic moments to rhythm-infused hip hop textures — while always staying true to their core identity. With every release, the band continues to push the boundaries of what alternative music can be, carving a distinct sound that’s deeply human and refreshingly original.

I play around with guitar, bass and keyboards, been writing lyrics and making music with computers since Commodore 64 days.    My dream is that a "real" artist will like one of my songs and perform it for a wider audience, someday.

In general, my music is electronic in nature.
Dance, Dance Pop, House, Deep House, Future House, EDM ...
But since I love variety in music, I will probably never be able to serve just one subgenre.

Claudio Malz is an up-and-coming DJ and music producer 
Claudio’s journey into the world of electronic music began in his early years. Born and raised in Argentina, Claudio was exposed to music from a young age. With a natural ear for rhythm and melody, he gravitated towards electronic music during his teenage years, particularly the sounds of house and techno that were shaping the global dance music scene.

Inspired by the groove-driven sounds of tech house and deep house, Claudio began experimenting with production software, learning the intricacies of music production and sound design. His passion for dance music and the energy of the club scene led him to develop a sound that would eventually become synonymous with his name: deep, infectious grooves, and punchy basslines paired with catchy vocal chops and dark, minimalistic elements.

The Failed States is a creative project based in an aged care facility in the leafy suburb of Wantirna, Melbourne Australia. 

Initially a recreational outlet, allowing residents to express themselves through music, poetry and sitting still, The Failed States has since taken on a life of it own. 

Anguished songs about other residents' grandchildren being too loud at the table tennis table, or laments of lukewarm, semi-set pudding were gradually replaced by powerful pieces about climate change, urban decay, relationship breakdown and stolen dentures.

There are no permanent members of The Failed States, we live on, as age, petty rivalries, and forgetfulness takes us all.

The Failed States tries to perform in the common room on the second Tuesday of every month, after lunch.

Hey! My name is Bence and i play guitar for 15+ years now... 
I listen and play mostly progressive rock, neofolk and jazz. 

I created this project to explore textures, soundscapes and subtle nuances that are exclusive to synth music. And also to challenge myself and become less reliant on my favourite instrument, while exploring ideas i haven't tried out before.

Martin Busk was born in Denmark in 1972. His interest in electronic music started in the 80's and he has been developing his original compositions in FL Studio since 2010. ”I’m the guy from next door who loves listening to and composing and producing progressive house music.” Professionally he has worked in the construction industry and teaching, development and management fields.

Composing and producing slow ambient and evocative music for relaxed listening.
