Freak Unique

With a career starting in the early nineties from the warehouse raves of the industrial city of Tampere, Orion is still one of the busiest and most relevant DJs in Finland. On top of over 15 year long work on Finnish National Radio, Orion also runs his own Absence of Facts imprint and regularly releases music on labels like MORD, H-Productions, Mindtrip, Illegal Alien, Suara etc. 

With a funky, playful approach to techno both behind the decks and in the studio, his productions are widely welcomed by international crowds. 

No matter if it’s about performing live at a sold-out festival or a warehouse party, expanding the possibilities of DJing with the latest technological innovations, hosting an electronic music conference, playing at KitKat in Berlin, Ministry of Sound in London or clubs in USA, Germany, Greenland, Russia, Spain etc, headlining New Year’s party for 85000 people, 2000 people pool party or hosting live radio broadcasts from Berlin, after over 25 years in the business it’s all still happening and it’s all labour of love.

Breathless

This track started during a wild week-long producer retreat in the middle of snowy Finland. On day one, we were told: “You’ve got four hours to make four tracks.” No pressure, right?

Somehow, I made this one idea I actually liked—melodic, emotional, kinda punchy. That night, I played it for everyone… and it flopped. Hard. One friend straight-up said, “The bass isn’t even there.” Devastation. I thought I’d lost my mind. Was the track only good in my head?

I couldn’t sleep that night. The idea just kept looping in my brain, bullying me. Next day, we could pick one track to finish. I chose the flop. Spent hours fixing the mix, tweaking the drop, praying it wasn’t total trash.

Played it again that night—sweating, nervous. This time… it hit. People were vibing. A small redemption arc in a Finnish forest.

Now it’s done. Melodic, energetic, euphoric—and a reminder to trust the weird ideas, even if they bellyflop at first.

A light in the darkness of Northern Europe has started to shine through. 
MARTIN K4RMA is Finland’s most promising techno artist known for his unique hard-hitting Techno kicks, hypnotic beats and dark atmospheric and emotional soundscapes.  

Martin developed a passion for electronic music at a young age, inspired by the early 2000s EDM scene. However, it wasn't long before he started producing his own tracks, incorporating his love of techno with his own personal style. Martin's early music career began as a DJ, playing at countless clubs in Helsinki.

His productions quickly gained recognition within the techno community and led to his first official EP on a respected techno label called Codex with German legends Teenage Mutants. His sound has been supported by the likes of Richie Hawtin, Joris Voorn Wehbba, Layton Giordani, Joris Voorn, Monika Kruse, Maceo Plex, Joseph Capriati, Luigi Madonna, and Paco Osuna to name a few. 

Martin's live performances are also highly regarded, with his infectious energy and unique mixing style. Martin remains dedicated to the music and the underground scene that he loves. He continues to push the boundaries of techno, experimenting with new sounds and techniques to create music that is both innovative and timeless.
