From Canadian duo Northumbria (Jim Field and Dorian Williamson) comes this guitar based ambient drone album. This album is the product of recording sessions during late 2013 and most of 2014, and was heavily inspired the Norse discovery of Baffin Island in Canada over a thousand years ago. The Vikings called this new discovery Helluland... "the land of flat stone" in Old Norse.

Collection of recordings on January 10th 2011 during the Georgia winter storm. Various sleds, ice breaking, ice creaking, icy tension cracks, and heavy snow crunches/impacts. All sounds recorded at 24-bit 96khz with the Neumann RSM 191 A-S M-S Stereo Shotgun Microphone System and Sound Devices 702 Digital Recorder. Two Aquarian audio H2a-XLR hydrophones used for the frozen water drainage pipe recording.

Martin Stig Andersen is a composer and game audio specialist, with his background in electroacoustic composition influencing his approach to game audio development and implementation.

Martin created and directed the audio for LIMBO and INSIDE, followed by focusing on interactive composition when scoring titles such as Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Control, and the recent release Back 4 Blood.

He was involved as an ambient music designer on Shadow of the Tomb Raider and has recently remastered the audio for Thekla’s upcoming Braid, Anniversary Edition.

Martin’s work has earned him several international awards, including two D.I.C.E. awards for Original Composition and Sound Design, respectively, and a Game Developers Choice Award for Best Audio.
