The feeling of being is a sort of spectrum. Just as light is at one end red, and at the other end violet. And you have to have these extremes in order to have colour at all, in order to know light.
So you see, likewise, we have to have the experience that there is somebody else, something else going on, altogether out of our control, in order to have the experience of being me.

The feeling of being is a sort of spectrum.
Why do you think you have to have something to depend on?
So, we get finally, not quite finally, to the void.
That which is void is precisely the world of form. That which is precisely form is the void.
And.. what then?
When you get to the void, there is an enormous and unbelievable sense of relief. That's Nirvana.

You mustn't cling to the void. You have to void the void. And so, the void of non-void is the great state, as it were.
The feeling of being is a sort of spectrum.

You cannot nail a peg into the sky. And so, to be a man of the sky, a man of the void, is also called a man not depending on anything.
And when you're not hung on anything, you are the only thing which isn't hung on anything, which is the universe.

WHAT IS REAL? WHAT IS FAKE?

My rescore of the Doctor Who episode, The Fires of Pompeii, which was originally released on February 1st, 2022.

Requiem for Pompeii

PAULUS POTTER-concert   door Theo Jellema

Tijdens het Paulus Potter concert, ter gelegenheid van 400 jaar Paulus Potter, zoekt Theo Jellema de verbinding met Potter. Hij speelt muziek uit de vroege 17e eeuw, dus muziek die tijdens het leven van de schilder (hij leefde van 1625 tot 1654) te horen is geweest. Paulus Potter heeft de natuur verbeeld; de gekozen muziekstukken sluiten daarbij aan.
Na afloop van het concert kan de Paulus Potter expositie bezocht worden. Het is bijna de laatste kans om dat te doen, de expositie loopt nog tot Open Monumentendag op 13 en 14 september.

Theo Jellema heeft les gegeven aan de conservatoria van Arnhem, Zwolle en Groningen. Hij is een veel gevraagde organist in binnen- en buitenland. Zijn repertoire omvat alle denkbare orgelmuziek, van oud tot eigentijds.

Tot 2021 was hij organist van het Müller-orgel in de Grote of Jacobijnerkerk in Leeuwarden. Op dit moment is hij een vaste bespeler van het Verschueren orgel in de Westerkerk in Enkhuizen, waar hij ook orgeladviseur is. 

Theo Jellema maakte al heel wat CD opnames. Al in 2021 een op het orgel van de Westerkerk toen alleen nog het Bovenwerk klaar was. Hij publiceert over orgels en componeert ook voor het instrument.
