"Cry For Love" continues, deep strings, funk bass and raw sound achieve true poetry. In the middle it's "Givin' Yourself", the vowels tell a story accompanied by a stomp rhythm. "Nothing Is Permanent" closes the EP, a sentimental track that stabs directly to the heart.

In the same line as his previous releases (DNAM, FreshTake, GLBDOM or HustlerTax), Brooklyn Baby brings a new freshness as deep as groovy for a timeless housy rendering.  Also on the release is a remix from DOUNSA in a pure french touch vibe. For those who don't know, he was part of Lazare Hoche from the beginning and contributed to their first releases (LH Edits, I Don't Sync So) and label launch in 2012.

Grimy keeps the heat on with a limited seven-inch from Windy City legend BoogieNite. "Words" sounds like a forgotten classic from the legendary early 80s NYC downtown scene. The smooth disco arrangement and punk-funk vocals could have emanated from a dream session between Walter Gibbons and Lizzy Mercier Descloux. Feel-good Rhodes piano lays the melodic foundation as a gang of female voices ruminate on the rhythmic meaning of words. All the while, a shit-hot disco rhythm section keeps things in the pocket. This is a track that will light dancefloors up and have fellow djs flooding the booth for an ID. Expert Funk dub version on the B-Side. white/black swirl vinyl with custom Grimy graffiti logo.

I recently got to play at the long running daytime disco, funk and house event MFSB in Edinburgh and although I didn't manage to record the set live on the day I've recreated the experience here with all the tracks that I played. Big thanks to Yogi and Caroline who had me over and to everyone who showed me some love with the music I played! Hope to return there one day as it's an awesome event. Anyway enjoy!
