Marco Resmann (Upon.You Berlin) Biography

Berlin. The mid 90s. The home and the heart of electronic music with its flourishing scene embracing all kinds of genres from Techno to House and beyond, with tapes on circulation, regular radio shows and an annual climax named Loveparade.

Brought up on this wide ranged diet of electronic sounds Marco Resmann started to work on what should become his profession of the future. Led by his neverending love for House Music he stepped up on stage, eventually started to promote parties and built his Audiogain studio where he continuously honed and refined his production skills on analogue gear.

Soon this steady work paid off in form of a first release on Martin Landsky's Intim Recordings as well as other highly acclaimed 12“es under his former artist alias Phage. Around this time in the mid-noughties Marco Resmann also became part of the production force named Pan-Pot which redefined the trippier side of Minimal Techno in these days. 

Apart from these projects, it was another fruitful collaboration that was meant to last. After meeting and immediately clicking with Norman Weber they started to DJ together on a regular basis before they joined forces in the studio, establishing their project Luna City Express as a main project of Moon Harbour Recordings with numerous EP's, Remixes and a widely praised album named Hello From Planet Earth, all of them providing tasteful, open minded House Music from Germany.

Backed by this experience and an excellent reputation as a DJ Marco Resmann joined the world famous Berlin-based Watergate club as resident in 2006 and has played countless nights in this hallowed space ever since as well as graced the tenth anniversary volume of the Watergate Mix-CD series with a flawless tour de force ride through his personal club favorites and anthems in February 2012 – a mix that can be considered a milestone in his remarkable career so far. 

As solo producer his discography includes acclaimed remixes and releases on imprints like Watergate Records, Upon.You, Poker Flat and the Brazilian imprint Warung Recordings, all of which are serving a unique fusion of House and Techno with a recognizable twist and a love for detailed, complex arrangements.

But there's even more to Marco Resmann than being the expert producer who fully masters his craft and DJ who is playing out to devoted crowds on a regular. Hosting Upon.You label nights at Berlin's famous Panorama Bar for six years has played an essential role in Marco Resmann's approach towards extended DJ sets with whom he pleases crowds all over the globe – from German festival sites like Fusion and Melt! to internationally renowned venues like DC10, Upon.You showcases all over Europe or the big 20 Years Watergate Brazil tour which took place in Brazilian superclubs like Surreal Park, D-Edge, Cultive and many others. Not to mention upcoming tours in Australia, Mexico and, again, Brazil where he is greeted by an especially dedicated, loving followership whenever he touches down in this part of the world.

As co-founder of the Berlin-based Upon.You Records, one of the major forces in the international club scene since 2007, Marco Resmann has been spotting upcoming talent and consistently invested dedicated, straight-up work in the house he and his labelmates have built.

With his most recent release „Box In A Box EP“ which will be released on his own imprint end of November - it's quite right to say that Marco Resmann is going stronger than ever, armed and fully equipped for an amazing 2023 to come. Watch out!

Born and raised in Casablanca, Morocco, Fassi found his way to electronic music only when he moved to Montreal, discovering the city's eclectic club scene. After months practicing his craftsmanship as a DJ, he quickly saw himself warming-up for rising artists such as Lake People or Good Guy Mikesh, as well as playing in the same parties as top-notch performers like Recondite and John Tejada.
Now holding a residency at the Velvet Speakeasy Night Club in Montreal, he is pursuing his quest for progress and in parrallel concretizing his art into productions with EPs that will be released on Re:Sounds and Art Vibes, with a remix on Motek. 
His sets embody moods and emotions, taking you in journey within the depths of your consciousness

Brenden LaBonte a.k.a. Forerunners has released a steady stream of immersive and unique tracks over the past 15 years, with remixes and originals on Pure Progressive, Sudbeat, Anjunadeep, Onedotsixtwo, Silk Music, Perfecto, and others. He has worked with the likes of Solarstone, Hybrid, Hernan Cattaneo, Tripswitch, and many others. Something of an enigma as an artist, this Arizona based producer is definitely in the ‘quality over quantity’ camp. Forerunners music is about the slow build, the journey, where filters ebb and flow, layers creep to the front then withdraw, where the percussion is hypnotic and the synths repetitive, and the melody draws the listener in with its subtlety, rather than a crass fanfare. It’s either early night material for trance rooms, or peak time material for intelligent progressive floors – spun by DJs the likes of Guy J to Paul van Dyk and everyone in between. This is what electronic dance music is all about.

Based in Buenos Aires, after more than a decade constantly evolving and perfecting his sound, Facundo Mohrr is currently one of the more influential artists within the Latin American scene on an international level. 

At a very young age, he discovered his passion for music and found inspiration through South American influences where his signature raw and organic sounds first originated. 

As he continued to develop his energetic rhythms and deep, melodic sounds, he was soon discovered by All Day I Dream’s Lee Burridge. Before his first four-track ‘La Espere’ EP was even released, his powerfully emotive, rhythmic tracks were being played across the largest dance floors and festivals around the world, already becoming an iconic name throughout All Day I Dream’s soundtrack. His release rapidly made it to the top of the charts with his most celebrated track ‘November’ produced with Valdovinos. Not to be labeled within a certain style or genre, his productions have taken him onto major international labels such as All Day I Dream, Tale & Tone, Kindisch, Get Physical, and Shanti Radio Moscow with support among the world’s most renowned artists such as, Lee Burridge, Guy Gerber, Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, and Sasha. 

With his quick rise to fame, Facundo’s newly found career has taken him out of Argentina where he is seen playing at the best festivals and most iconic clubs from Burning Man to Mexico, Russia, London, Spain, Tunisia, Panama, Brazil, Chile and the Dominican Republic.
