Keeping up the energy level but speeding up the tempo, CALYPSO CULT regular, Mexico's INIGO VONTIER shreds out powerful didgeridoo-based peak-time ignition on the A2. FRENZY, already. 

The B-side kicks off with a massive main-room remix of SABABA 5 ‘NASNUSA’ courtesy of Israeli trance-master KINO TODO & DANELZ, chopping the amazingly catchy and beautiful vocals of Japanese vocalist YURIKA into a club-pumping ear-worm. ANDI OTTO brings things back down to the lower tempos Multi Culti is associated with, joining forces with Rwandan dancer and singer EVARISTE KARINGANIRE for a wonky, stompy and most of all unique track. Finally, cult wizard GOLDEN BUG turns in another spooky, subliminal groove, sounding like Toulouse Low Trax having a puff with Aleister Crowley - witchy incantation meets hypnotic beat.

Dawn had broken and the sun was beginning to rise beyond the hills. Burning reds and ambers illuminated the countryside; a natural wake up call for the inhabitants of the area, who were few and far between. Here, the skyscrapers, the cars and the whirring sirens of the city were a distant thought, almost an unimaginable reality. The farmer looked out over his land and smiled; this was his livelihood, his santuary, his whole lifes work. He'd never known any different...

In 2015 German group Die Wilde Jagd released their second body of work into the world in the form of Morgenrot. The group have forged their own brand of heady new wave and kraut, through blending live instrumentation and electronics. Minimood have picked up the track as part of their multidisciplinary fusion series and secured a strong horde of producers to put their own spin on the track. The remix package is incredibly varied from the fast paced, club-focused reimaginations of Rude 66 and Ancient Methods to floaty, ethereal and downtempo reworks from Roman Flugel, Steve Bug and Fangschuss.

Taken from the two sonic explorers’ jam sessions in Berlin, these four tracks delve into subaquatic machinery and synaptic oscillations. Intuitive, time-distorting, mind melting improvisations recorded between 2019 and 2020 in Matthias Kanik's (GATS) studio.

For the first time, these soundwaves have been translated into the physical world in the shape of a limited Cassette (K7) pressing, inaugurating the Curuba Tapes series.

The release also features remixes showcasing the label’s diverse and
adventurous sonic palette : equatorian duo Zoroxxe (Joaquin Cornejo & Quixosis) deconstructs Cristal Sirens’ rhythmical intricacies with an abstract footwork reinterpretation, while Curuba co-founder Ditti twists Steppe into a sensible, playfully psychedelic ketapop version. Label heads Psycho Tropiques mash-up several elements from the EP into Cristal Echoes, a two-tempo leftfield club track inspired by dub floating ambiences & jersey club bounces. Parisian artist and label friend Machka closes the release with a beautiful, harmonically rich trip-hop version of Steppe.
