Description : Hailing from the catacombs of Paris, Mon cher Guy and Zaratustra are joining forces in this new release ! After throwing multiple parties with their collective Orchessons, and releasing tracks on various labels, they decided to gather in the studio to practice some musical witchcraft.
Blending electronic sonorities with some hints of 80s rock, they made extensive use of electric guitars, vintage drums and old-school synthesizers to create a nostalgic and mesmerizing feel. Despite all tracks being set in a dreamy and a nocturnal atmosphere, with the hurling wolves and vampires of « Night Creatures », or the eerie atmosphere of « Incantations », this EP is about melancholy, from « White Magic » opening the dance, full of hope and cheesiness, to the irrevocable « Nevermore » closing it.
Giving a trancy twist to « White Magic », we’re super pleased to welcome Brandski for the first time on the label, with this club ready remix ! And because we couldn't resist putting our fingers in the mix, label boi Austher also gave his epic italo touch to « Night Creatures » !

Premiere : Zaratustra & Mon Cher Guy - White Magic (ft Serge) (Brandski Remix) [Ulla Records]

When they first appeared to the world on episode N° 035 of our FREEDL series at the end of 2020, we said "very little is known about the Roswell Brothers". Almost two years have passed since then, and still, the information we have about the trio remains scarce. What we know so far: They are two Chileans and one Mexican who live in Mexico City and are fans of Lucha Libre. After their debut on SXDNS, they released solid EPs on Emerald & Doreen and NEIN and now land on Veneno with a must-have seven-round fight: "Futuro Eterno" showcases the Brothers' retro-infused sonority by presenting two high-flying originals and five acrobatic remixes made with inspiration & transpiration by hot shots Adán Aradillas, Brandski, Vleks, Mau Maioli (SXDNS246), and Neurotiker.

While "Eternal Future", the original, is a New-Wave-meets-Synthwave beauty, the remix we chose to premiere brings shards of Cosmic Disco combined with pinches of French House to the concoction. For his collaboration to the Roswells, besides embedding deep and beautiful synth layers, Brandski opened the vaults where he keeps the talkboxes and vocoders he inherited from Daft Punk and inserted some robotic magic into the theme. Nothing surprising for those familiar with the previous works by the skilled Toulouse-based artist, who is able to bring together his many an influence and deliver high-quality material, independently of the genre.

After releasing the track “You Like The Sun” in our compilation RetroFutur, Atmoss is back ! The spanish producer drops here two original cosmic and dancefloor tracks mainly inspired by New Wave, Melodic House or Trance. Sometimes, the vocals and percussions cut the rolling basslines. And breaks are out of time ! The first remix by our french buddy Brandski is the perfect vintage remix, inspired by EBM or Italo. The New Wave vocals are highlighted thanks to beautiful pad and lead and a groovin’ retrobass !The UK based producer LA MANO is back too. And he drops a great melodic remix with an incredible deep bass, making the song haunting and melancholier than the original. For the heart, but also for the feet !

When digging to find some classic italo tracks, Brandski stopped on this one. The singer’s voice and the synth melodies immediately caught him.
The challenged Brandski set himself was to highlight the voice and the melodies. He modernized the song to make it ready for club music while keeping its original essence.

For Club Mackan's next release, we have two supercharged tracks by the Italian duo Dog.ma with two equally charged remixes by Louis de Tomaso and Brandski. 

What do you get when you have four supercharged tracks within an electromagnetic field? You get electromagnetism. Or, in this case, you get 'Elettromagnetismo' since our tracks are fully charged with Italo disco, every single one of them!

As in true 80s fashion, both Elettromagnetismo and Darpah are charged with driving basslines, catchy one-finger melodies and vocal-sounding synthesisers. Darpah tends to feel a little more melodic with its beautiful chord progression, while Elettromagnetismo is energetic and straightforward. 

Louis de Tomaso's remix gives Elettromagnetismo even more of an electric feel. True to the original, but with his own style, it's safe to say that Louis's remix is supercharged. 

If the original tracks were made in true 80s fashion, then Brandski's remix is not just in true 80s fashion. It's the definition of it. With a classic rolling Italo bassline, Brandski's remix gives Darpah even more of an authentic 80s feeling than the original.
