Tantra (Sanskrit: तन्त्र) literally means "loom, warp, weave".
According to Padoux, the verbal root Tan means: "to extend", "to spread", "to spin out", "weave", "display", "put forth", and "compose". Therefore, by extension, it can also mean "system", "doctrine", or "work".

Tantra (/ˈtæntrə/; Sanskrit: तन्त्र, lit. 'expansion-device, salvation-spreader; loom, weave, warp') refers to an esoteric yogic tradition that developed on the Indian subcontinent from the middle of the 1st millennium CE onwards in both Hinduism and Buddhism.
The term tantra, in the Indian traditions, also means any systematic broadly applicable "text, theory, system, method, instrument, technique or practice".
A key feature of these traditions is the use of mantras, and thus they are commonly referred to as Mantramārga ("Path of Mantra") in Hinduism or Mantrayāna ("Mantra Vehicle") and Guhyamantra ("Secret Mantra") in Buddhism.

Sambhavā (सम्भवा):—One of the twelve guṇas associated with Piṇḍa, the seventh seat of the Svādhiṣṭhāna-chakra. According to tantric sources such as the Śrīmatottara-tantra and the Gorakṣasaṃhitā (Kādiprakaraṇa), these twelve guṇas are represented as female deities. According to the Ṣaṭsāhasrasaṃhitā however, they are explained as particular syllables. They (e.g. Sambhavā) only seem to play an minor role with regard to the interpretation of the Devīcakra (first of five chakras, as taught in the Kubjikāmata-tantra).

Mr Toé is a DJ, producer and musical researcher. He began his journey in Chile and has progressed up a road of Latin American sound, culture and experience all the way to Colombia where he has now taken root. Based today in the providence of Chocó, he brings us a smooth and harmonious mixtape, crossed by marks of the downtempo and rainy moments of Deep House. It’s an organic and jungle-like hybrid sound with a smooth progression like a monkey swaying through the vines. 

For more than an hour this explorer’s beats take us on an excursion. We’ll traverse through a mixtape that goes into the humid jungle, with juicy and organic sounds that grow and flirt with cumbia and even ancestral songs, voices that speak the language of the earth. In the world of Mr Toé, heritage is key, and his indigenous, African and Spanish music achieves a harmonious symbiosis which Latin American can call its own. 


Mr Toé es dj, productor e investigador musical, comenzó su viaje en Chile y ha ido avanzando por la ruta del sonido, la cultura y la experiencia Latinoamericana hasta llegar a Colombia donde ha echado raíces. Hoy instalado en la provincia del Chocó, nos trae un mixtape armónico y suave, atravesado por vertientes de downtempo y lluviosos momentos Deep House. Un mestizaje sonoro orgánico y selvático, con una progresión suave como la del mono que avanza meciéndose entre las lianas.

Durante más de una hora este explorador sonoro nos llevará de excursión. Pasearemos por un mixtape que atraviesa la húmeda jungla, con sonidos acuosos y orgánicos, para ir en crescendo hasta coquetear con la cumbia e incluso incluir cantos ancestrales, voces que hablan el lenguaje de la tierra. Thomas Koch (aka DJ T.) has been a pioneer of the electronic music scene for more than three decades, not just as an artist, but as a label manager, magazine founder, promoter and more. At the end of 2015, when he arrived once more in the Sacred valley of Peru for a long timeout and healing journey, he discovered the art of Ecstatic Dance. First he only visited these small ceremonies as a guest. But in spring 2018, when he came back to Berlin from another stay in the Peruvian mountains, he wanted to check out what his hometown had to offer in terms of this culture, to find a fast growing, vibrant scene in hiy city. Since then he has been shifting his activities and channelling all of his experience to find his very own way of creating the musical journeys for these events. Now, with a couple of EPs in the pipeline under his new alias Mathami on his newborn label Pura Danza, 2021 and beyond is an exciting time for Mathami and one where he will be breaking down musical boundaries.
