A Journey Through Breath & Sound @ Michelberger Hotel/Berlin (30.01.22)

Thomas Koch (aka DJ T.) has been a pioneer of the electronic music scene for more than three decades, not just as an artist, but as a label manager, magazine founder, promoter and more. At the end of 2015, when he arrived once more in the Sacred valley of Peru for a long timeout and healing journey, he discovered the art of Ecstatic Dance. First he only visited these small ceremonies as a guest. But in spring 2018, when he came back to Berlin from another stay in the Peruvian mountains, he wanted to check out what his hometown had to offer in terms of this culture, to find a fast growing, vibrant scene in hiy city. Since then he has been shifting his activities and channelling all of his experience to find his very own way of creating the musical journeys for these events. Now, with a couple of EPs in the pipeline under his new alias Mathami on his newborn label Pura Danza, 2021 and beyond is an exciting time for Mathami and one where he will be breaking down musical boundaries.

Tornadotoni, who was born and raised in Bellinzona  (the italian part of Switzerland), is a Berlin based DJ and Founder of the FLINTAQ* Artist collective Femunity. Since childhood she was a vivid music lover.  
At the age of eight she bought her first record and that was a big turning point in her life. For the next decades, one could find Toni getting lost in time & space at the best record stores all over the world, growing her diverse vinyl collection. Six years ago, Miss Yetti-a dear friend of hers & one of the first female electronic DJs around- asked Tornadotoni to DJ at her birthday party. Since then, she devotedly shares her passion for music and enjoys the magical connection that comes from dancing. Music is pure energy for Toni and it is from this feeling that she puts together her eclectic sets where many genres flow together, such as house, disco, indie dance, funk, dark disco, deep house, world, dub, ambient, organic house, conscious music, hip hop, acid, trap and many more which have one common denominator: “The Groovetrain”, as Tornadotoni calls it.

In November 2022 at the Agape Zoe Festival in Berlin, she launched her new Pilates Sound Flow Project with DJ Iv (see soundcloud link below), consisting of soundjourneys with meditative music, soundscapes, psybient, psychill, ambient and trascendent sounds of all kinds.

It was deep , it was soulful, it was techno, it was disco, a kaleidoscope of sounds.
