Mathew Stegner is an American singer-songwriter, artist and producer originally from Merrick, New York. Mat is most known for his smooth powerful voice, emotionally driven songs and his distinct acoustic sound. His catalogue of music has been used in film soundtracks, promotional advertisements and mainstream radio. He has opened for several national acts and has also been featured on AOL.com. Currently Mat is creating more and touring his own music, producing and collaborating with artists and bands across the world and is an active member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. 

Mat describes his music as, “a mechanism of release”, “a means to an end”, “a way to remember”, “new beginnings” or “an understanding of it all.”  You never know what life will bring you but songs are forever. “So much has happened to me and my life.” “It’s something I do because I have to.” “I can’t stop those magic messages I get on a daily basis.” They haunt me.” “If I wasn’t making music I just wouldn’t be me.” "I will never apologize for being the deep person that I am.
