But when you pick up a game originally created in another country, how often do you think about the work that went into adapting it for you? 

You may not have heard of videogame localisers before, but you've almost definitely benefitted from their work. They adapt videogames from one cultural and linguistic context to another. This is quite different from translating a novel or film, more than you might think!
