As the front man for 11 years with Australian Rock Band, Fat Albert, Matt Buggy is a seasoned veteran of the Aussie music scene. Having done supports, played alongside, and shared the stage with many local and international acts, such as: Coolio, Amity Affliction, The Tea Party's Jeff Martin, Screaming Jets, Choirboys, Radiators, The Feelers, Gasoline Inc, Marshall and the Fro,
Dallas Frasca & Oh Mercy. With the band, they were hand picked to play for surfing's ASP World Title after party event for Joel Parkinson, as well as play for the Quicksilver Pro.

Early in his career, he used to do guitar technician work at major Australian music festivals including: The Big Day Out and the Gympie Muster, for a range of high class Musicians and Entertainers.

Constantly touring the East Coast of the country,
through the Northern Territory and beyond, the road is the only road he knows. Stripping it all right back with an acoustic guitar, and steel belted tonsils, you can expect a dynamic range of diverse cover and original tracks, delicately picked and handcrafted for the ears of music
lovers the world over. Always keen for a yarn, and a good time, come say G'day and maybe share an ale or two. Nearly always playing in a town near you...

The Autumn Isles presents ‘Harvest in the Night’, lifted from their forthcoming second album ‘A Bird Called Cognition’ due out August 15 via Firestarter Distribution.

‘Harvest in the Night’ introduces the introspective tone of the new album, while exploring a darker, moodier palette.

Songwriter Alex Arpino discusses the new creative direction for the band. “Our last album was quite a sunny upbeat record, representative of where we were at the time. While it wasn’t a conscious decision to explore moodier tones it certainly came naturally during the writing process. For me there is a sense of loss that permeates through the record as I was processing some difficult themes due to the passing of my father. The creative process was certainly cathartic and we were able to draw on that for inspiration, ‘Harvest in the Night’ was the starting point”.

The Autumn Isles are a long standing contributor to Perth music scene, with several well-crafted ep’s and now onto their second full-length album, the band are building an impressive catalogue of material, reminiscent of the timeless pop music that continues to influence and inspire them.
Throughout their history The Autumn Isles have shared the stage with some well-loved national and international acts, including Okkervil River, Architecture in Helsinki, Oh Mercy, Sons and Daughters, Idlewild, The Whitlams, Bob Evans and Claire Bowditch to name a few. The band was also included in the 2009 Southbound Festival line up and have undertaken 3 national tours.

After the release of their debut album Kaleidoscopes (via Stuart Coupe’s Laughing Outlaw Records) the band took time to expand and hone their sonic palette and artistic vision. This intent heralded a new creative chapter for the band.

2014 sees this work brought to fruition.
