Very fortunate that I got the sunset slot for this Sunset Electronic event. I decided to do something a little different and begin with a few tracks that have softer melodic aspects to put more focus on the sun and beautiful views around us. I start off my set with a beautiful track by Sebastian Busto featuring a sexy sax.

Hey everyone, thanks for tuning in again! It’s been a while since I last uploaded a set, and I’m excited to share this one with you. This mix is a collection of the best tracks I’ve been playing over the past few months. A lot has happened since the beginning of the year, and I can hardly believe how fast things have been moving. But even in the chaos, there are always a few tracks that capture the essence of this journey. These are the soundtracks that accompany me through this stage of life.

In this set, I started with a lot of energy sounds, gradually building the rhythm and texture until I reached an improvised jam of tracks I don’t get to play often. I also threw in a few fun tracks that made me dance more than a few times hahaha! The journey begins bright and fun, but as the set progresses, it transitions into a deeper, more underground afterhours vibe. It was a fun jam session, exploring the various styles I use in my sets, depending on the night and the crowd’s vibe. Think of it as a menu of what I can serve on any given night.

Originally born and raised in Montreal, Mattemüs started his mixing career alongside his best friend under a duo named Filthy Kids. Shortly after, he moved to Vancouver in 2021 and since then he has immersed himself in Vancouver’s underground music scene. He has managed to play at many venues around the city and he holds residency at Soma Music Hub. He brings a lot of diversity to the decks ranging from progressive, deep house, techno & minimal. Mattemüs showcases his skills on the decks by reading the room and building up the energy level. He takes pride in the tracks he chooses, ensuring that the selections are always working together.
