Just a quick friendly reminder that I'm totally fine with reposts of my covers as long as it's with very clear credit, I can be slow to upload sometimes and I know people want stuff on different platforms, so I'm fine with reuploading as long as you make it obvious it was made by me! *胸を抉って refers to 胸を抉る, "mune wo eguru," which is a set phrase that literally translates to "hollow/gouge out one's chest" but seems to have a meaning more along the lines of something heart-wrenching, gut-wrenching, something that's so emotionally intense or painful it makes your chest hurt or feel hollow. "Gouge out/hollow out my chest" is the literal translation of 胸を抉って, but I thought that English translation lost the emotional meaning of it. Therefore, I took the "gut-wrenching" meaning of 胸を抉る and translated it into 胸を抉って as "Wrench my gut."

the whole reason i made this cover was to test out the new vocal mode update, and oh my god i love it
it made tuning this so much easier and so much more fun
i was originally gonna short cover of 1925 because i love the new sekai version, but its not as fun to tune as this song so i went with this
also i made a version in a higher key but didnt post that one here since i tuned and mixed it for the original key, and it also suits his voice a lot better

this song was a nightmare to cover
from making the vsqx, from making miku solid sing in english, to figuring out the harmonies, to enduring the torture that was mixing, i am so happy it's finished and am fairly satisfied with the result
i just hope it came out good enough to place good in the contest i made this cover for
the theme was "make a vocal synth sing in a language it's not meant to" and i like to think im pretty good at that fhudjik

cant believe i didnt cover this song sooner lmao i love it so much
figured id cover this song for my birthday since its one of my favourites from GHOST
the story the song tells is so good and interesting
it was also super fun to tune, even if synthv was giving me so many problems fhufjdik
but honestly mixing this was even more fun, playing around with different effects and cuts to make it sound more unsettling and creepy
the harmonies in the "black and white and" part and the final chorus make me ascend
i also wanted to make a custom pv for it, with some custom art
i did try my hand at making gore art tho so it wont be for everyone fgyhufjdik
