I really enjoyed this closing set at @LINKED Open air. A hypnotic yet grungy storytelling experience. Iv been holding onto a bunch of music for a while and was super keen to play it.

This was a very special day for me and the LINKED team. (05.09.20)

All of us being reunited on the dance floor at the 3rd exclusive LINKED event was magical and the energy of the crowd was amazing. The crowd was so amazing that I threw in a classic Drum and Bass track for them at the end.

Matt Halls is a techno DJ and producer from Cape Town, South Africa, crafting deep, hypnotic soundscapes that blur the lines between analog grit and digital precision. His musical roots trace back to his early days as a drummer in a metal band, eventually evolving into a love for electronic music that balances raw energy with emotional depth.

Since launching his DJ project in 2017, Matt has shared stages with global heavyweights like Amelie Lens, Ben Sims, Sama’, Juliet Fox, and HVOB, alongside South African icons such as Killer Robot, Bruno Morphet, and Dogstarr. A career highlight includes headlining the legendary Rocking the Daisies festival in 2018.

Driven by a passion for immersive, floor-shifting experiences, Matt’s sets are a journey—dark, textured, and always alive.
