Here's a tune Larzopan and I recorded back in the diz-nay.  I learned chords on uke just to play this with her.  I've never seen "the Jerk" though I have heard countless times that Steve Martin rocks this song in said flick.  Right on Steve, you shreds at banjo.  Maybe next week's track will have banjo in it.... hmm.   Anyhoo this song makes me happy and sad all at once, meancholy if you will, and that is great because music should make you feel.  It is one of the more beautiful intricacies of the human condition, in my humble opinion.  Enjoy!

Bring It On Home

Hello all, 
I'm back on the 'cloud.  I've been travelling a whole lot, 2 months in Central America, a west coast tour, east coast tour, a full US tour and a couple shows in Tokyo.  Phew!  I love every second of it tho.  To celebrate this season of giving I am dialing up one of my favorite Jimi Hendrix songs ever.  I hope you enjoy!

Castles Made of Sand

"James Connolly" is an old Irish folk song about a common man who out of desperation and circumstance became a martyr in the fight against british imperialist force.  Lisa Papineau taught me this song while we were putting the finishing touches on the Me and LP EP "Chez Raymond" at her old house in east L.A.  We'd record in blocks of a few days at a time where we'd take breaks and watch zombie movies and cook.  It was a really great time in my life, one that I will always hold dear.  I want to dedicate this song to someone who was a form of great inspiration for many of the songs Lisa and I created together, and who was the only other being who was present for every recording we made.  Rest in peace Francesco Snowcone.  If there is one disputed place I know to exist,
it's doggy heaven.
