Amiga Power, the mightiest computer games magazine ever conceived by human beings, is making a comeback in musical form – a double-CD album packed to bursting with brand new Amiga game music remixes, all of them inspired by The Magazine With Attitude.

The first disc will feature remixes based on tunes personally selected by former AP contributors, while the second disc will contain tracks based on games and demos given away on the magazine's coverdisks over the years.

Among the tunes set for inclusion on disc one is a special exclusive courtesy of influential dance music group Joi, AKA brothers Farook and the late Haroon Shamsher. Back in 1993, Joi collaborated with The Bitmap Brothers on the music for The Chaos Engine, creating a trio of studio tracks incorporating various themes and motifs that became part of the game's soundtrack. At the time, these studio tracks were only given a white label release, limited to 500 copies; and as a consequence, almost nobody has ever heard them.

Until now!

The third of the three tracks – nicknamed the Play With Me Mix – will be available exclusively on the Amiga Power album, and as a special bonus for everybody to enJoi, Farook has hugely kindly agreed to allow the first of the tracks to be released for free here and on YouTube, complete with authentic vinyl crackles (which Farook is rather fond of) and an mp3 download option. You lucky people!
