'Stranger' is a sound art project by UK-based artist, composer and musician Matthew Ward.

'Stranger' merges sound art, social documentary and compositions to create soundscapes and audio essays that reflect the world today and shape new realities. These pieces use interviews and street recordings that have been collected across the UK and Europe over the past two years with chance encounters.

The project synthesises a wide-range of fields including social documentary, musique concrète, street photography, genre art, Dada, surveillance and audio description.
