The gentle warmth of the rising sun was on us as we journeyed through some of my favourite epic sounds and uplifting music. For those of you that have not yet experienced the Pumpkin phenomenon you’re in for a treat! This week the L.A.-based DJ/producer, a.k.a. Nicholas Alvarado, is our very special guest on the RIPEcast! 

We admit to being a little late to the Pumpkin party having just heard him for the first time at Lightening in Bottle this year, but Nicholas has been dazzling dance crowds in his native Los Angeles and at events like L.I.B. for years.  "Electrorganic mood music for romance and espionage", "Lovesauce", "Bouncy Lovehop" and "Folktronica"; Pumpkin's style is truly unique and defies any conventional description. And after experiencing his mesmerizing set on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon under the billowing ribbons of the Woogie stage, Zach Moore returned from L.I.B. determined to book the talented Mr. Alvarado for a RIPEcast. Lucky for us, he was well up for it!
