'Code Of Honour' is what we believe to be a comprehensive snapshot of what is great about Drum and Bass in 2012. As always with our beloved genre 'Code Of Honour' has moments that point firmly to the future and moments that celebrate and summarize all that has been great in the genre's history. 2012 has been the best year in Samurai Musics 5 year history and we feel this is the perfect cap to a year where we achieved many of our initial goals and built a firm foundation for further development in the years to come. 

The name 'Code Of Honour' refers to the Bushido code and the 5 12" samplers from the album are each named after an essential virtue of the Samurai code.

I love writing for piano and playing it after a few glasses of red wine. Out of all my music I think this track has my favourite piano part that I've ever written. As an artist, Matt Lange has released records with some of the most influential electronic dance music labels in the industry such as Anjunabeats, mau5trap, and Armada and has performed across esteemed venues and festivals like Output, Sound Nightclub, Ministry of Sound, TomorrowWorld, EDC, and SXSW. Unburdened by genre and trends, the signature of Lange’s work is the relentless devotion to pushing music into the future.

Matt is also the host of Tap Tempo, a podcast which features insightful interviews with peers and collaborators ranging from A-list composers to DJs and includes artists from all backgrounds.
