Slime welcomes American producer Nymbus to the label. With a string of celebrated tracks to his name across the deeper end of garage and drum & bass, his reputation has been building in each respective scene for some time now. For his debut release on the imprint he delivers two stunning examples of his craftsmanship in liquid drum & bass, backed up by a pair of killer garage remixes from his fellow label-mates Blackboxx and Aaron Static.

‘Silica’ drifts into a view on a melodic wave of melancholy chords and ethereal vocals before pulling you into its sublime undertow, replete with rolling basslines and finely-cut drum work. Striking a perfect balance of light and space throughout the track, it evokes hazy summer nights cast against starlit skies – a simply gorgeous slice of emotional music that is uniquely powerful.

‘Obsidian’ follows a similar path to the former track but amplifies the resonance with jazz-tinged elements and a tougher roll-out on the drums. Razor-sharp bass stabs combine with sweeping melodies, offering up a cinematic feel that recalls the early works of liquid producers on Metalheadz or Moving Shadow.

Edinburgh producer Blackboxx steps up for the first of two remixes of ‘Silica’, extrapolating the elements of the original track and mutating them into a chilled garage odyssey, and further cementing his position as one of the most exciting garage producers around. Australian production veteran Aaron Static shows off his technical expertise with a jaw-dropping re-mould of the original into a seven-minute epic that bridges the genre gap between garage, breaks and neuro with remarkable results.

Label veteran eleven.five, whose extraordinary "When People Become Numbers" artist album graced our imprint last year, is back with an eclectic and innovative new five-track EP, entitled "The State I'm In."

In "Mish," we witness hypnotizing arpeggios and gentle lead melodies, while a strong groove provides brilliant texture underneath. 

"Last Night" takes off with an intriguing atmosphere, with captivating percussion variations and soothing pad layers. Strong bassline notes take over shortly thereafter, and subtle, yet delightful light leads lighten up the soundscape as the song progresses.

The title track, "The State I'm In," begins with an enjoyable piano line, which is later replaced by frisky percussion layers, captivating vocal effects, and refreshing background effects.

A tranquil beat introduces "In The Midst Of Turmoil (Comes Peace)," as well as subtle, yet quite intriguing bassline notes and fascinating synth stabs. As the song progresses, numerous new melodies are added, all of which contribute to the already delightful atmosphere.

"Acamar" -- a collaboration with Sundrowner -- rounds out the release. Once again we witness stunning percussion work, and various piano melodies and a floating lead melody truly spice up the soundscape.

Trifonic - Broken (Matt Lange Remix)

Multi-platinum selling producer, composer, musician, and DJ, Matt Lange challenges categorization; equipped with an instinctual ear for creating music and an insatiable drive to explore the aural spectrum.

Lange’s career began working alongside multi-instrumentalist and producer Brian Transeau (BT), co-producing the album "These Hopeful Machines," earning him a Grammy Award-nomination in 2011. Matt then went on to co-write and produce Glenn Morrison’s "Goodbye (feat. Islove)" which was nominated as Dance Recording of the Year at the 2015 Juno Awards and later hit double platinum. Most recently, Lange was a producer on the Thirty Seconds To Mars album "AMERICA," which debuted #2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

An adept music composer, and sound designer, Lange has created and licensed works for the blockbuster films Ready Player One, Blade Runner 2049, Deadpool 2, The Fast & Furious 8, and Transformers: The Last Knight along with video game franchises Counter-Strike Global Offensive, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, and DOTA II.

As an artist, Matt Lange has released records with some of the most influential electronic dance music labels in the industry such as Anjunabeats, mau5trap, and Armada and has performed across esteemed venues and festivals like Output, Sound Nightclub, Ministry of Sound, TomorrowWorld, EDC, and SXSW. Unburdened by genre and trends, the signature of Lange’s work is the relentless devotion to pushing music into the future.
