These tracks were ideas, grooves and bits and pieces that have been laying around on my hard drive for a loong time. After hearing some nice promos from Ureguay Records, I was inspired to polish and actually finish off tracks that I thought would fit with the Ureguay sound and send them to the label. Usually I do what I can to make my productions not sound too old school, although people continue to say that they do. In this case I thought I aim for an old school sound, you might even recognize some beats and loops.

Affekt Unit is the new collaboration between Philoxenia Records founders Luigi Di Venere and Neu Verboten.
Under this moniker they blend their musical obsessions, rooted in Italo house, Frankfurt EBM-house and trance.

We’re delighted to host this exciting and electrifying hybrid sound on their debut EP ‘Dust Off’ !

Diving deep into the excellent EBM sous acid vs downtempo trance trip offered by ‘The Struggle’ and ‘Dust Off’, it’s clear that both are in total control of their subject.

And it goes on with the more speedy-techno meets celestial trance ‘My Spirit’, a nod to Transcultural Shamanism "which is the true core of what raves, festivals and clubs are : moments of detachment from reality as well as places of sharing across cultures", as Luigi explains.

'Loon In Moon' is the super trippy and catchy tune of the EP, where once again Luigi's voice can be heard, whispering’ My Thumb instead of an onion’, words taken from a poem by the late American poet & novelist Sylvia Plath.

Throughout the whole experience offered by Affekt Unit, we dig into their common influences, and take pleasure in finding lots of clever ideas & elements added into the mix. The true force of these 4 tracks is that they never derail from the main goal, keeping an infectious groove going on and on and on.

Cosmosolar is the alter ego of the Argentine DJ and producer Alejandro Gamba. He was born in Argentine Patagonia, currently residing in the university city of La Plata, in which he has a great career.  In his Cosmosolar productions, he lets himself be carried away by the human-machine experience in the creation of musical sequences, with the purpose of achieving what you feel on the track. Through solid structures, with a strong rhythmic rudeness, melodies, distortions and synthetic dissonances that invite us on a Dystopian space Techno Disco trip of psychedelia and trance. Going up and dancing to the frequency that unites the Earth and the Cosmo its is his essence. He has released on renowned labels such as Ritual, Nein Records, Beatfreak, Mukke, Dear Deer, Espacio Cielo, Hey, Location!, La Mishka, etc. And he worked in collaboration with artists like Bad Wolf, Parissior, Mundo D, Roliva, Beating Cells, Jay Perlestein, Oblvn, Amir Telem, etc.
