This month Pineta radio show celebrates the cosmic, dreamy and emotive atmospheres of the dance-floor. Inspired by sunrise sets, mediterranean and balearic sounds Marco Ohboy together with Mike Riviera released his first EP "Azul" on Shades Of Sound Recordings and the first hour of the show covered by Marco is dedicated to the music that inspired the production of the record.  

The second hour of Pineta show hosts a mix by Joe Morris, dj, producer and Shades Of Sound label head. Joe Morris has been involved in the underground music scene for over twenty years playing around the world from smoke filled basements to festival stages; his productions craft perfectly diverse atmospheres from chill out scenarios to dreamy high dance floor energies. You are welcome to wear your sunglasses while listening to the show and ask yourself Is It Balearic?

Manchester native Andi Hanley was for years one of the great things about NYC, charming, low-key, a great great DJ, he quietly was a graceful presence in the land of the overhyped and ego driven. For years Andi held down the music supervision for Rock Star games and was responsible for a lot of great music getting out to the gaming masses, Andi also was a vital member of Body and Soul, for years doing the warm up and setting the sound palette for Danny, FK, and Joe. Andi has since moved back to Manc, and is currently on the hunt for his own space to install his system and set up a proper party. (tell us when chief!) We are happy to have this great set from him, and we are also happy to have the great Disques Town drawing he did for us!

Prins Thomas, the man from Norway, has been DJ'ing producing and remixing at a steady pace since the late 90's. One of the more celebrated figures in contemporary dance music, T has come a long way from his start as a break dancer and musician in a range of bands. He runs several labels, most notably Full Pupp, has released several lps ( 2 solo, 2 with frequent collaborator Lindstrom ) has an extensive discography (understatement) and has been touring worldwide sharing extended dynamic sets that are an amalgamation of disco, house, cosmic, psychedelic and balearica. T is the biz, he keeps it deep, fresh and intimate. As you are reading this T is bringing his Orchestra - The Prins Thomas Orchestra - to Istambul for some live shows. Matt Walsh’s inter­est in DJing and pro­duc­tion was fos­tered in the late 1990′s, while he was at uni­ver­si­ty and pro­gres­sive house was at its peak. Fast-for­ward a cou­ple of years, a new decade her­ald­ed the birth of Elec­tro­clash and with it DJ Hell’s Gigo­lo Records, City Rock­ers and Play­house. As Matt began to devel­op his trade­mark sound of mod­ern dis­co-infused elec­tron­ic house and tech­no, an offer of a res­i­den­cy at East London’s sem­i­nal T‑Bar club set off a chain of events that would lead to Tur­bo Record­ings don Tiga spot­ting him there in 2007. He then became a long term res­i­dent of Bugged Out! and Tur­bo and has since toured the globe alone and with oth­er artists.

Matt’s record label, Cloud­ed Vision Record­ings has seen releas­es from tal­ent from all cor­ners, includ­ing Red Axes, long term friend Daniel Avery and many more. His two mixed com­pi­la­tions “The Cloud­ed Vision Exper­i­ment” received crit­i­cal acclaim from Mix­mag, GQ and DJ Mag.

Since relo­cat­ing to Mar­gate in 2017, Matt has been busy opening The Tap Room and has trans­formed one of Margate’s secret spots into a boom­ing small bar, where you can expect to see local and trav­el­ling DJs play­ing every week, as well as a great mix of cock­tails and craft beer.



In 2023 Matt reignited his old clubnight "Movement" which was originally formed with Daniel Avery back in 2011. The new version is held quarterly at Faith In Strangers, Margate and the first three sold out parties have seen Erol Alkan, Daniel Avery , Optimo and Richard Fearless join Matt on the decks for the night. August will welcome Manfredas to Margate for the first time and some very exciting collaborations are to follow in 2025.
