"At W Bali we continue our on-going support of the burgeoning local scene through our latest concept, Foundation. Having most recently given the current crop of Indonesian DJ’s a platform to show how good they really are, we have now extended this concept out to the wider region with a slight twist, as we handpick the finest and most talented resident DJ’s across the whole of Asia from some of the most recognised clubs and venues in the region. 

Resident DJ’s are the unsung heroes of clubland, they are the ones who are trusted to read and excite the crowd at either end of the night, and ensure the night is a textured experience taking everyone on a musical journey. Often the best of these are critically acclaimed by the headline acts despite not taking the glory, so we felt it is only right we give them the chance to showcase themselves and prove that The Foundation is what everything else is built on!

While DJ-ing was something that intrigued him for a while, it was only after seeing the likes of DJ legends Sasha, John Digweed and Paul Oakenfold play extended DJ sets sometime in 2006 that Jared fell in love with the art of DJ-ing, and has never looked back since. A diligent purveyor of new music and sounds, Jared is also a firm believer in playing the right track at the right time, and always keeping a keen eye on the crowd. For him, the music does truly do the talking.

While residing in Australia for 5 years (2009-2014), Jared had the great pleasure of supporting a variety of international and local acts. These acts represented a myriad of music tastes and genres ranging from Trance, Techno, House and EDM.

International and Australian Acts that Jared has supported while in Singapore and Canberra include: Vanilla Ace, Roger Shah, MaRLo, tyDi, Firebeatz, Rob Pix, Motez, Golden Features, Safia, Peking Duk, Acaddamy, Sampology and Silversixx. 

Jared owes much gratitude to the many promoters, club owners and event organisers that have given him the opportunities to share nights on the  lineup with these acts, and playing at the best venues in Canberra and now in Singapore. Venues in Singapore include Zouk, CATO, SO Sofitel, Canvas, f.Club, Millian and FRESH!

While always open to new music styles and genres, the deeper and techy sides of house however, are genres of electronic dance music that remain really close to his heart. 

Ultimately, Jared's DJ style is about having fun and hopefully letting beats, basslines, vocals and melodies get a crowd to hit the dance floor and have a great time! 

Whatever the case, Jared’s goal is always to get you dancing and to put a smile on your face!

Born in Singapore to a family of musicians and lovers of jazz and classical music, from a young age Maurice developed a curiosity for musical forms that stir the senses and tell a story. His time spent in London as a promoter for Ben Watt’s Buzzin’ Fly Records kick-started his journey as a DJ more than 10 years ago. 

Over the years Maurice has quietly established himself in Singapore's underground music scene and around South-East Asia through his very own Re:fuge club nights in Singapore, festival appearances at Epizode (Vietnam), Wonderfruit and Karma Kastle (Thailand) and performances alongside some of the world's leading House & Techno names including Dixon, Mano Le Tough, Kristian Beyer (Âme), Roman Flügel, Ata, Marcus Worgull, The Drifter, Fort Romeau, Aera, Matthias Schöber, Love Over Entropy and &ME. 

Armed with a sound that marries deep and melodic house with tough and moody techno, Maurice is a believer that electronic music is an open platform, without limits on who or what it may connect to. His openness to perform DJ sets that embrace diversity across musical styles with house & techno as the connector, is what drives his constant devotion to the craft of DJing today and into the future.
