Kyoto-based producer Stones Taro is launching a new self-released series titled "Byproduct," with the first installment, an EP of the same name, dropping exclusively on his Bandcamp.

This new series pushes Stones Taro's experimental side, distinct from his label NC4K. As the title suggests, these tracks are like musical "byproducts"—challenging and different from his usual style. However, even with these unique sounds, his signature dancefloor-ready beats are still very much present.

Stones Taro plans to continue releasing more tracks on his Bandcamp. Keep an eye out for his evolving sound.

As part of our ongoing efforts to look for top notch sound designers across the globe, we fell upon the auteur of our next release. The parisian De Grandi and his turbo-charged club beats serve us a filled platter of 4 Tracks and two remixes in ‘Testa Dura’.

Going through a thick bass + crisp percs combo and perpetual crescendos we start things off with the main course — and title track: a dubstep to tribal hybrid launching at full throttle across a universe of trickling electronics. A taster of what’s to come, a record packed with intricacies and high risk dubs.

This time we got two remixes from three producers in the UK:FR wavelength, Beatrice M. with their signature Dubstep elegance + the can you feel the sun duo Call Super + Parris injecting the house flare with the finger snapping vocals.

“Minor Details EP” is a selection of tracks that seem like they wrote themselves. The EP name reflects the process of finishing the music, which consisted in polishing only minor details.
The EP ranges across the 130 - 145 bpm spectrum. At times it’s dark, dubbed out and trippy like “Without U”. “The Only One” is playful with a grimy bounce which lightens up the general menacing vibe of the EP. “No Filter” goes raw and fast: no BS, just full energy. “What It Takes” closes the EP by helping us land gently in groovy and sultry territories.
