DIS_1 has been spinning since 2000 but finally left the bedroom and hit the stage in 2011 out in Steamboat and made his way down to Denver via the E-Tuesday Battles. He plays a variety of genres but his main focus halftime, jungle, hip-hop & dubstep. Representing ABM (Always Be Mixing) & Clean Up Kru DJ crews. He was brought onto Recon on 2019 and Sub.mission in 2022 and he is the only dual Sub.Recon resident in Denver.

Rather than holding tight to what I wanted or thought was "supposed to be", I went with what felt fun, felt right, felt harmonic, and paid attention to those whom I admire, adore, and aspire to inspire.

As promised, here is the live recording of the Conscious Wave co-founder's back to back set from Future Forest 2022: Arts Experience!

As you may or may not know, back in the day Aphotik & Shigero played almost exclusively as a duo. Their onstage chemistry, love for bass music and MTL community boosted them both to where they are today. 

This high energy mix starts off with some fresh dnb rollers, then slowly descends thru multiple BPMs & genres, concluding with some classic 140BPM dubstep. This set brought the audience back to their CW roots and was a mini Conscious Wave takeover of the Mushroom Stage for the first time.

@smyahh is an eclectic producer with a variety of styles all stemming out from the sound system culture. We are excited to present his first drum and bass album with which he expresses his love towards the genre, which has been a major source of inspiration for him throughout the years. While most of his previous work leans towards dubstep, ambient and beats, Range of Motion sets the tone for a new path of exploration in the 170+ bpm sonics.
