It's kind of like poetry
the way i think about you and me

and it's kind of like a story, 
there's so much glory, 
in my fantasies. 

Now I got projections
Should have known better
then to send up
high to the sky, technicolored lies

I can't keep it locked up inside
good loving is a scarcity
and when I think I strike gold
I'm gonna wanna build a mine

my thoughts crumble 
like blackbirds into a clear blue sky

And lately I've been thinking bout the house where I grew up
and the willow tree that shaded me 
when I was young and free
and oh, that weeping willow
it sighs for me and you
and the pond under its pines
are tears for things we never knew

We took walks by the stream
you picked up rocks by your feet
you liked they way they rolled, forever
into the sea
You said, "here's one for you,
and, here's one for me."
I piece of my heart, Love
and like the land
it just keeps going on

And they buried your body on a grassy country hill
and come next spring 
roots will grow, where your fingers once fell
and up from the Earth did your body come
and now it's gone again
your bones will blow away like dust
whispering in the wind
