We spent the month of January as residents at our favourite rooftop in Jozi, The Living Room, where we played a different genre each weekend. By far our favourite was a beautiful Saturday sunset session where we delved into two hours of house and deep house with a lot of local flavours. It was so much fun to play a slightly different genre to our usual, so we decided to share this one with you.

leschueft with Viennese roots and influenced by the French House scene and Drum n Bass has had an interesting musical journey which has currently led him to putting together quality mix tapes in the "slow house" genre as it is called... or deep grooves as we like to call it! Like us he enjoys a mix which progresses throughout to create a journey that keeps on building. This mix is perfect to kick start your week with some good vibes with an excellent selection of wonderful grooves to make your feet tap and your head bounce. 

He has only recently started putting mixes together, however you can tell straight away that his passion for music is heard in his sets. He has put together sets for podcasts such as Ken Taur and Electronic Groove so it is definitely worth taking the time to check his sound cloud page.

Tober&Tober ( Alle Tanzen // Hannover ) presents Afterhour Sounds Podcast Nr.102

Blut ist bekanntlich dicker als Wasser und Familie ist ein Bund fürs Leben. Dass dies nicht nur leere Phrasen sind leben und lieben Simon und Marvin so leidenschaftlich vor wie es nur sein kann. So verwundert es auch nicht, dass das gemeinschaftliche Erlebnis für die beiden einen hohen Stellenwert besitzt. 

Seit nun etwas mehr als 5 Jahren stehen die beiden gebürtigen Hildesheimer Jungs Seite an Seite - sowohl vor als auch hinter den Decks und frönen ihrer gemeinsamen Liebe - die elektronische Musik. Etwa zur gleichen Zeit riefen sie auch ihre eigene Partyreihe namens ‘Alle Tanzen’ ins Leben, welche sich in den zurückliegenden Jahren zu einer absoluten Erfolgsgeschichte entwickelt hat. Gemeinsam mit ihren Freunden von Nackt auf Tahiti und Into the Woods Germany haben sie in der Kulturfabrik Löseke Hildesheim ein Zuhause gefunden, welches sie seither unzählige Male mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail verzaubert und so zu einer absoluten Top-Adresse in Mitteldeutschlands Clubkultur gemacht haben. 

Als DJ & Produzenten brennen Simon und Marvin ebenso leidenschaftlich für ihre Sache und so verwundert es auch nicht dass auch ihr musikalisches Schaffen von einer unbändigen Qualität geprägt ist. Dabei ergänzen sich die Jungs wirklich wie Yin und Yang und das hört und fühlt man bei ihrem Sound auf ganz besondere Weise. Ihr Podcast für unsere Reihe macht da keine Ausnahme - ein Set mit dem Prädikat ‘Weltklasse’ und nein da übertreiben wir ganz sicher nicht, aber davon könnt ihr euch gern selbst überzeugen.

Max Doblhoff creates a modern and traditional crossover between electro-acoustic beats from Vienna and East and West African music. Max  productions contain numerous analog recorded instruments and grooves that have shaped the rapidly growing African house scene in recent decades: Afro House and Afro Fusion, Tribal House, Latin, Cumbia, Funk, Disco and Electronic Grooves. His musical journeys through parts of Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Morocco), the feeling for the vibe of the countries and their traditions, the discovery of individual musical tribes and the culture of spontaneous improvisation shape Max’s musical style.
