A STORY FROM EARF
Once upon a time, there was a distant planet located far beyond the reaches of our solar system, named Earf. On this planet lived a race of intelligent aliens, known as the Earflings. They had been living in relative peace and harmony for many years, but one day, something unexpected happened.

A giant object appeared in the sky above the planet. It was an enormous spacecraft, and it was heading straight for their world. The Earflings were filled with fear and confusion, but they soon realized that the spacecraft was not there to harm them.

When the spacecraft landed, a humanoid figure emerged from it. The figure was tall and slender with four arms and two legs. She had a beautiful face and eyes that sparkled with intelligence. In a voice that was both gentle and strong, she began to speak.

"Greetings, Earflings. I come from the stars and I bring a message for you. We are a species of advanced aliens, and we have been watching your planet for some time. We are here to offer you a chance to join us in a great journey.

We seek to explore the universe and all its wonders, and we believe that you have a place in this endeavor. We have technology far beyond your own, and we are willing to share it with you. We will provide you with education and resources to help you reach your full potential.

The journey will be long and dangerous, but if you choose to join us, you will be rewarded with knowledge and understanding that you could never find on your own. Will you accept our offer?"

The Earflings hesitated, unsure of what to do. They had never heard of such a thing before. They were scared and wary, but also excited by the prospect of adventure and discovery. After a moment of deliberation, they finally said yes.

The alien smiled and said, "Welcome aboard. The journey begins now."

And so, the Earflings embarked on a journey that would forever change their lives. They explored strange new worlds and encountered amazing creatures. They learned to harness the power of their minds and even unlocked the secrets of space and time.

[TheRapperLos + Moon The Artist] Pick Up The Phone

"Roll Me Over" is the final single by "Lonely Gimmick" before the release of their first album/E.P "Stay At Home to Sleep In" at the beginning of next year. 

Centred on the same girl as an earlier single (“Grumpy Days”) "Roll Me Over" reflects on the relationship’s aftermath. LG bares their soul right away, describing the beginning of the end with their opening lines. They place the blame completely on themselves whilst trying to soothe by saying "everything will be alright", "the night sky is full of stars".  Despite the hurt inside LG, their sole concern is to not cause further pain to themselves or anyone. 

This is the first track by Lonely Gimmick to start with vocals only: a bold move.
By focusing on lyrics more than music, LG demonstrates how deeply they feel about the song's meaning.  Whether that feeling originates from a sense of guilt or a search for forgiveness is, like most of LG's music, down to the listener to decide. 

The music accompanying the introduction is comparable to the sound of "King Krule". Following a slow, sober start the song hails back to the dancey indie disco days of LG's youth. The song’s structure could be juxtaposed with "When the sun goes down" by "Arctic Monkeys".  A heavy club kick drum and funky guitar drive the sonic motto of LG's production style "if it doesn't get your head boppin’ it ain't worth nothin".

This new release is almost a sibling to "Grumpy Days" but different enough to show there is still much to be explored in that sound.  A fiery jangly guitar riff and a vocal hook guaranteed to have you singing along within seconds. "Roll Me Over" explodes with energy and compassion, proving that LG is not afraid to take risks.
