Witch Princess is the musical expression of Mallika J Y Herland, a passionate explorer of the wonders of sound and rhythm, residing in the misty mountains of Western Norway. 

Deeply inspired by trance inducing music, folklore, storytelling, nature, plant medicine, spirituality and the psychedelic community, she creates musical journeys intended to send the listener on a magical ride from the outer world, through our inner world, to connect with the mystical spirit world.

After over 18 years of sharing her sound-magic, Witch Princess has gathered around her a dedicated tribe of world & electronic music-lovers, and is well known to create wild and ecstatic energies on the dance floor. 
Being a lover of all kinds of music, Witch Princess loves to mix and morph different genres to take the listeners with her on truly unique, magical and psychedelic sound adventures. 
From the beautiful lush soundscapes and deep rhythms of psychedelic chillout and mid-tempo genres, to the trippy and hypnotic depths of dark prog, minimal psy and forest, to the uplifting and driving force of progressive and fullon psy, Witch Princess explores it all, and often in the same set.

«I early discovered that music can take you to a space where the mind gets quiet and the body turns kind of liquid, where the perceived «you» totally disappear, and where there is freedom. In this natural ecstatic trance, the portal has opened and you can just melt into a meditative state. And I just love to share this wonder with others on the dance floor.»

Between being booked to perform at various events and festivals in Norway and abroad,  Witch Princess arranges sound gatherings, cacao ceremonies, ecstatics dance, downtempo, techno and psytrance parties, and releases her own music with her event and record label Liquid Moon.

Combining nature sounds, organic textures and world instruments into electronic music production, Witch Princess creates magical and psychedelic sound journeys, with the intention to go deep, to uplift, to transform and unify.
And for the last couple of years there has been a calling to explore and create music with a more ancient nordic vibe and this can be felt in her upcoming releases.

I discovered the magic of underground electronic music later in life, and it captivated me all the more.  A lifelong music enthusiast, I began my musical journey in childhood by playing the piano.  My diverse influences, rooted in classical music and expanded through various genres, have shaped my broad and nuanced approach to electronic music.  Ambient, minimal, house, electro, or techno, I enjoy exploring it all with a spirit of experimentation, aiming to create immersive, carefully crafted musical stories. My goal is to guide listeners through a range of moods, atmospheres, and dynamic shifts. While I naturally incline to downtempo, I easily find myself in high-energy dance positions, when the vibe calls for it.  I would describe my sets as a deliberate infusion of rawness, decadence, melancholy and bizarre elements, balanced with a portion of lightness and elegance, with a strong emphasis on groove, musicality and my beloved dub. I love when music is intelligent, unpredictable and enriching to the human senses. Over time, I have developed a deep passion for vinyl.

In recent years, besides DJing, I have also worked as a promoter - starting as part of the PLAY. collective and later curating my own project Kolajnica at the Kolaj22 underground venue in Poprad, Slovakia.

Music has always been an essential part of her life. During her university years, she hosted her own radio shows focusing on alternative and electronic music. This experience helped her develop a keen ear for track selection, understand musical dramaturgy, and master the art of crafting a sonic journey that immerses the audience in another world.

Temnã thrives in club environments, where she can fully dive into her high-energy sets. Her musical narratives blend driving dance rhythms, mysterious synths, deep basslines, and 90s acid influences. While she appreciates club house and electronic music, her soul remains faithful to raw, dark, and hypnotic techno.

🎭 From DJ Booth to Event Organization
Beyond DJing, she actively creates and curates her own music concepts. She is the mastermind behind Bassinga and Art Beats in Žilina—events that bring high-quality underground music and unique audiovisual experiences to the scene.

Throughout her career, she has performed at various club events and festivals, including klubNacht, LoveStream, and Festival Skaly. Every set she plays is a journey filled with energy, darkness, and hypnotic beats, keeping dancers moving until sunrise.
