Each pulse of energy seemed to mimic the now-faded song of the Sound waves Tree, but it was...different.

Purpie turned his eyes upwards, following a beam of purple energy that erupted from the Sapling. Hundreds of brilliant stars overhead began to shake, and one by one, they fell from the sky.

A hallmark of Mikrodot's approach to music is a polished, almost clinical finish, and very deliberate choices when it comes to exploring different sonic elements and styles. This EP takes the listener through a range of shadowy and nocturnal themes revolving around low end intensity, through the use of tasteful sound design and creative sampling. Freeform Bass Music

Michigan based artist Mayple, aka Jaemes Chouinard, has quickly become a known name in the freeform bass community. His ability to create lush atmospheres while still delivering hard hitting basses and frequency bending subs is what elevates his project to the next level. He takes inspiration from a multitude of artists spanning genres of 140 and halftime to create his own style of funky, melodic, and groovy bass tracks.

For the last few years he has had releases with labels like Aspire Higher, Hemi.Wav, No Hype Music, and Make Wavs, and is quickly gaining support from numerous larger artists. He has played direct support for heavy-hitters Saturna, Artifakts, ATYYA, Thought Process, Potions and more, and has played festivals from Michigan to Colorado. With a handful of EP's, and numerous originals, flips, and bootlegs already released, it's safe to say that Mayple is the one to watch.
