Gingaí is the tribal downtempo music project of Portuguese artist Henrique Saias, a rising talent in the global folktronica scene.  He is passionate about musical cultural heritage and traditions such as the Australian aborigines’ didgeridoo and the Afro-Brazilian art of capoeira.  His sound brings the sonic and vibrational essence of these and other cultures from around the world.

The Gingaí sound web is filled with tribal elements, warm synths and elaborate percussions.  In the stories he weaves, he’s as fluent in the meditative and transcendental as he is in the expansive ritual of dance.  His music floods the dancefloor with earthy basslines, rattles, driving groove and positive energy.

On the Roof of Imagination is a Sound Healing Journey that I originally created to be performed as a meditation at the end of Ecstatic Dances. This time I performed it as a meditation in itself to celebrate the Winter Solstice, Christmas, and the beginning of a new year for my good friends at Imagination Hostel in Arambol, Goa, India.

The ambiences you hear during the journey are a collection of recordings that I've gathered over the last 2 years while traveling.  Each holds the energy of a powerful place or moment.  You can hear birds at sunrise on a lake in the mountains of Canada, Argan seeds in my hands in the south of Morocco, gentle waves under the full moon from the Indian Ocean in Kerela and more.  You can also hear clips of the Sasak villagers of Lombok, Indonesia, singing and laughing, as well as parts of the traditional sunset ceremony at the Uluwatu temple in Bali.  I've blended together all of these elements to create an ambience that captures and emanates a part of what I have experienced on my journey.

Everything about this performance is completely improvised... I take in the energy of the moment and my surroundings and channel it directly into the music.

The native flute I play in the beginning and the end was handmade by friend @masterskayfleit (you can find him and his epic flutes on Instagram!)

Maywa proposes an environment where the protagonists are the elements: Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire.
Singer and composer, she creates original themes inspired by nature, and her life in South America, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Chile, Colombia and in the Amazon jungle of Peru. She Write letters in diferente language , also icaros, indigenous languages ​​like mapuche or shibibos-conibos. Maywa channels the lyrics for her Medicine Songs and she can give the Plants, Spirits and Elements a voice: to translate and transport their Messages to Humanity.
The artist easily leads us to connect with our own inner world and to draw the most intimate part of ourselves. She delivers her voice as medicine of sound seeking the union of hearts. Like water, to link beings through the simplicity and honesty of her art.

Sound landscape
She invite us to a travel of sounds with different instruments, voices, drums, guitar, strings, kochi, sansula, kalimba and others.
Presenting sounds like landscapes. Creating mergers and sensations of awakening our old memories.
Sound landscape is a space to open the medicine of sounds.
Between sounds and silence she create a bridge that unites the sensory world with the invisible world. It helps us to feel the unity between everything and everyone through the vibration, through our body. It reminds us of our ability to feel that life is an art, the art of living. It is a mixture of sounds and healing songs. The different instruments, the voice, the sansula and the drum help to enter into a deep relaxation.
