Ya know, I’m one of a lot of people who don’t like the way artists   are treating the rap game
All these dudes talk about is money and fame   
All the new shit sounds the same
And at the end of the day most fans don’t even remember the new shit by name
Well let’s see if High’ve can save the day and make some change
I came into this world just like everyone else young dumb and foolish
I’d do anything I could ta hang with the cool kids
Acted up, smacked a punk
Until I finally grew up thanks to music’s influence
My dad was in a band and he taught me some tricks
I learned to play drums I was killer on this sticks
On the day my dad died I lost my way for awhile popped pills for pain for a while
Until I almost lost my smile
But you know what they say the truth will set you free
So I started questioning religion and the powers that be
And tried to turn all of the anger and pent up resentment towards religion, politicians, and corporate henchmen into positivity
I got through it and I knew that it’d be okay
Life’s a bitch
Gives a gift with a stitch
But in my mind I’ve always been rich
And I knew that I could change the world someday
So I threw out the prescription shit
And tried to learn how to mix and spit
And I did so now I’m comin’ for the title I’m not playin’ anymore like it’s a poetry recital
This rappin’ for me is vital
I’m bound to be a be a world wide idol
I just know it 
Cuz hip hop needs a hero and I’m feelin’ heroic
So all of the real rap fans who thought the game had run out of plans
I’m the man who’s gonna take a stand
Because I know that the message is the essence in this rappin’ proffesion
And I’m a good teacher bout to give these dumb rappers a lesson
Now class is in session
We need to stop spitting about cars, battle scars and zaynex bars and work hard
So we can give back to the people we write this shit for and end this recession
Not everybody’s problems can be solved by bong packs left with nothin’ but resin
And no offense but fuck your jays, snap backs, with logos from the NBA no one cares how you’re dressin’
Fuck the fake shit man y’all made it if you believe in a God you should consider that shit a blessin’
So let’s talk people through their problems not the club shit that y’all stressin’
This world is full of poverty, disease, and oppression, and until that shit’s done with we as a people should never be restin’ 
If you have the power to change the world and together we do there should never be a question
Of whether the people would rather hear some inspiration or whatever the hell your new half assed, copy and paste from all the rest mess is
So next time you’re smokin’
And you’re control, C, P, and V buttons are broken
Come back to the mic and spit somethin’ actually potent
Until then I guess it’s just me
So unapollagetically outspoken

MC High've Mind is a member of the High Prophets underground hip hop and rap group also featuring MC's Buddha, Kiwi, and others. Known for his intricate lyricism and deep vocals, High've Mind got his start as M.C. Quinten Tearinturno, started rapping in 8th grade but had been writing rhymes for as long as he could remember and hasn't stopped since. High've Mind and the High Prophets intend to drop their first self-produced album around 4/20/2015 and will keep releasing songs off of the mixtape on SoundCloud as they are created so keep an eye out for these up and coming hip hop legends soon to be blowing up on a planet near you!
