Back in the Day

After the new release of Super Mario 3D World, I felt inspired to do an arrangement of the main theme. I thought it'd fit pretty nicely with samples from Yoshi's Island, since both game OSTs are heavily jazz-influenced, and overall I'm happy with the result.

A cover of Buoy Base Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy. This cover was finished back in June, but Cohones' debut album was pushed back to accommodate for other members. This version is different from the one that appears on the album: this version was rendered to fit my channel's standards regarding loop counts, whilst the album version (and the rest of the album, no less) was mixed by amphobius.

Here we go, friends; this is one of my personal favorite Super Nintendo music style arrangements targeting the "Super Mario 3D World" score! This one is targeting the music heard as the 'main theme' of the "Double Cherry Pass" course; my arrangement of this tune uses the instrument set of the "Disney's Bonkers" SNES game (developed/published by Capcom/Disney) in my trying to stay true to the original tune itself. I hope you all enjoy the end result of this just as much as I enjoy doing this arrangement of one of my favorite tunes from this game.
