On Saturday November 3, GMJ & Matter put together 2 hours of pure magic to set the scene for Progressive legend Nick Warren who we had headline our recent party. As soon as the lads finished I asked them if they'd kindly let us use their performance as part of our podcast series and here we are....... An absolutely brilliant 2 hours of energy that had the entire venue simmering without exploding too early, so Nick could take the reigns and deliver one of the best sets we've ever heard, just like they were booked for, Matty and Gav delivered like all good warm up acts should. Class, sophisticated, warm and  selecting their tunes to have the room at absolute fever pitch........ Strap yourselves in and relive the magic. It's a brilliant journey

This week we are honoured to showcase two very good friends of ours, the extremely talented GMJ & Matter. This is the recording of their live set from our most recent event, Wild People. 

GMJ (Gavin Martin) & Matter (Matty Doyle) joined forces in late 2015, inspired initially through an interview Matter penned for PHW that showed his understanding of & passion for sound & its connectedness to the bigger picture of life as a whole. A triggered recognition & magnetism for the twos shared perspectives & love for deep atmospheric music led to the formation of the GMJ & Matter collaboration.

Already drawn by a respect for each others unique sound, their meeting point soon saw them in the studio crafting the acclaimed “Superposition ep” for Proton music, which was debuted at 2016 Rainbow Serpent Festival & released afterwards to big success, supported by industry heavyweights including Hernan Cattaneo & Cid Inc. This was followed by the “Osmosis / 11 moons” EP in 2017 which further highlighted the pairs distinct & accomplished sound.

A natural synergy & seamless understanding has seen works flow ever since, including remixes for Pete K & Andre Sobota on Proton Music, the huge of success of their original track “Earthless” on the mighty Anjunadeep, remixing each others work for Particles & PHW elements, a remix for Funkform on Aussie juggernaut Open Records, & many more exciting releases soon to be unveiled.

With constant inspiration raising the heights in reflection, the future is to the stars!

Michael aka Rinzen conquers the dance floors around the world from his home base in California at the moment. He is a very promising and talented artist and we invited him to play at our showcase in Amsterdam's ADE two weeks ago. Apart from that he plays alongside Deadmaus on events worldwide. 
His first release on our imprint, earlier this year, 'Fractal', together with buddy Evan Casey is a deep, dark and melodic bomb with an artful arpeggio and a scratchy synth melody. 
His mixtape for our mixtape series is a great reflexion of his release and impresses with its dark, deep and cool atmosphere, full of melodies, some vocals and frickeling drums. A must hear for every melodic house & techno music lover. Thanks to Rinzen and have fun listening to his exclusive mix for our series.
