NNørus & Dj Whipr Snipr team up for the electro-tinged ‘Sporthsgoth’ this October on Nerang Recordings.

Queensland based DJ/producer and label head Dj Whipr Snipr has been running Nerang Recordings since 2016, putting out music from the likes of Interplanetary Criminal, Subjoi, DJ Swagger, DJ Bowlcut, J.Albert, Cassettes For Kids, and many more since its inception.

Teaming up with Brazilian DJ/producer and Gestalt Records alumni Nørus here, the duo air their first collaborative works on ‘Sportsgoth’, a hard-hitting EP taking inspiration from Breaks, Electro, Techno and beyond.

Leading the A-side, ‘Something Better’ opens with deep, hypnotic pads and sharp drums alongside modulating low end, while ‘Gravel Or Grovel’ sees the duo maintain the emotive electro atmosphere, with flickering synth licks, dreamy pads, and rubbery bass laid across rough, staggering drums.

On the flip, ‘1000 Forward 5000 Back’ brings a series of glitched-out FX and warped electronics before ‘Sportsgoth’, which
features Scotland’s Chordata, closes the releases with chopped up vocal samples, high octane leads, and rattling drum machines.

Following a trilogy of albums for the label, @luke-vibert returns to @hypercolourrecords in June for his next LP. ‘GRIT.’ Featuring 12 tracks of bouncy acid jams suffused with playful energy. The rulebook’s not being rewritten here, but perhaps it doesn’t always need to be.

Human Endeavour Records announces its third release, ‘Comfort Zone’, from Geneva-based producer Reda Saiarh (@redasa).

Having appeared on the label’s inaugural Various Artists release, ‘Trains Of Thought’, Reda now steps up to the plate for his first solo EP on the imprint, which showcases his fresh, forward-thinking take on Belgian New Beat.

He approaches the traditions of the genre with a completely new twist that weaves elements of progressive trance, jackin’ 90s house and Italo disco into the mix, alongside his trusty bank of signature New Beat samples.

In his own words: “Comfort Zone is my space of creation, no words, only feelings and apprehensions. Each track explains a piece of my environment and experiences.”

Comfort Zone will be released in full on 14/02/23.

Cyphon Recordings continue their remarkable run of form with a brand new six track mini LP from Aussie powerhouse Ewan Jansen. With three decades of experience permeating his productions, ‘Chroma Sea’ is a signature Jansen voyage - crisp, colourful, groove-heavy house and techno anchored by an analog weight. A veteran of the scene, Jansen cut his teeth in the early '90s producing hardware-saturated house music drenched in depth and feeling. Having released on the likes of Moods & Grooves, Going Good, Freerange and Butter Sessions across the years, he’s also been captaining his own label Red Ember Records since 1997.
 
Leading the ‘Chroma Sea’ odyssey is 'Salt Circuit', a squelching '90s tech house leaning track with a Detroit influenced touch, where bounce and power balance expertly with intricate synthwork and synapse-firing breakdowns. 'Brinewave' and 'Cybercanisco' follow, the former a head pickling, bass heavy, atmospheric electro joint. The latter a blinding yet blissful, Motor City channelling techno creation, that burrows deep down into your soul.
 
On the flip, 'Hydronexus' swallows you up in with a hit of absorbing space-age techno that envelopes your brain in layer upon layer of tactile sounds, before 'Faulty Gelfling' fires you out the other side into a twisted, robo electro hyperspace. Closing out the release and bringing you back down to earth is 'Surabaya', where soft pads swell and oscillating synths wash over you, as that grooving low-end just keeps on rolling.

'Alien Insane' opens the record with a relentlessly progressing piece of dark machine music, followed by the dazzling cosmic journey of 'Idiomatic Transnominator', both tracks vividly blending Das Ding's signature sound with classic Dutch electro, synth and italo styles.

On the flip, 'I Am Not A Robot' presents a more blissful soundscape, elevating higher through dreamy synths, tight percussion and an inescapable bassline, before Ksitigarbha rounds off the record with a slow, enchanting sonic journey into strange and ghostly territory.
