We're incredibly pleased to welcome Robert Heise, best known for his iconic electro project The Exaltics. For over 20 years by now Robert Heise is a part of the electronic music scene. He started his career as resident DJ at the Club Kassablanca in Jena, where he performed with big players such as Robert Hood, Jeff Mills or Claude Young. While organizing several Electronica parties with Dj Mikk in and around Jena, he was able to show his talents and give the parties/ music his own drive. Robert founded the project The Exaltics in 2006 as well as the electro/ techno label SolarOneMusic with his long term friend Nico Jagiella. Since then he published countless 12"s and several LP's with labels like Clone, Crème Organization, Bunker or his own label SolarOneMusic and worked during that time with outstanding artists like Drexciya´s Gerald Donald, Helena Hauff, Egyptian Lover or Depeche Mode´s Martin Gore for example. He turned his deep cinematic and most of all charismatic electro into his own trademark. Lock yourself in for electro from the top shelf including tracks by Dez Williams, Chupacabras, Serge Geyzel, Volruptus, Marcos Cabral, and many others.

The fourth episode, dedicated to the Berlin-based record label "Burial Soil", is mixed by Ravn Jonassen b2b CYRK (Pascal).

Burial Soil is the brainchild of father Ravn Jonassen and the 2 CYRK mothers.
Since years they have been close friends and thought it’s time to put their abilities together and just do what they like the most, creating electronic music and press it onto vinyl. And sometimes, when you remain faithful to an old love something unforeseen can happen. In this case there was no such plan of success or board the world of modern Electro, but constant dripping wears away the stone. With their special attention to outstanding productions and their taste of graphic art they tried to form something that lasts.
In future they will put even more effort in their publications, beginning with CYRK’s album „Freundschaft“ creating 8 different tracks together with 8 amazing Electro producers. Always true to the black gold, but from August 22 they will also concentrate on monthly digital releases to support newcomers and old stagers. That’s kind of their agenda, combining those 2 worlds. Their regular event at Berlin Suicide Club is another foundation to showcase the best out of those 2 worlds and celebrate their idea of musical family and inclusion.

Tresor Records remains one of the most pivotal and definitive labels and nightclubs in underground dance and electronic music. For years it has helped to cement the sound of Electro and Techno representing some of the most unique and innovative artists from across the spectrum of the genre.

Now what better way to celebrate and spotlight the label than by asking two of its latest signings to select their favourite releases from what is an expansive collection of music.

Jensen Interceptor and DeFeKT are two artists who know more than a thing or two about techno and electro themselves – unique and well established in their own right, they have just collaborated to release a new record via the Berlin label.

Together they have recorded an exclusive back to back mix which features music from the likes of Drexciya, The Advent, Joey Beltram, K-Hand, Dj Stingray and Jeff Mills.

Interview with Jing Lekker turns out to be like a good piece of literature. It opens the inner landscapes of approaching music, it’s frequencies and even spiritual layers. Jing mentions the importance of audience togetherness, being able to greet the dance floor without expectations, playfulness and creativity of DJ'ing and, finally, being undoubtedly passionate about your lifestyle which becomes equal to work and vice versa. Taiwan born and Berlin based producer and DJ raises up awareness in the scene discussing the habit of staying ignorant about the cultural grounds which are nurturing artists careers whilst they are in need of high level sensitivity and solidarity. Jing talks sincerely about her life, big amounts of pure joy is strongly perceptible. This is much needed. Good news – Jing Lekker will play in DT CAMP this year so this Q&A might become a good intro.
