Gigs in Amsterdam, Bristol, Porto, London and Lisbon followed - including his debut on Boiler Room. For this new EP we are served 3 brand new Silvestre tracks and 2 huge remixes from one of the most respected labels in Lisbon -  Príncipe!  'Todos Bem' starts as an organ led scratch-fest, with a tight auto-tune vocal from Silvestre himself, before mutating into an anthemic/hedonistic 303 acid and whistle banger! This euphoric string-laden track equally at home in Ibiza or Notting Hill Carnival! 'Paga O Que Deves' is up next; Joao's love of grime and UK bass culture is evident from the drop, twisted synths and breaks recall everyone from Eastman to Roll Deep. On the flip we find serious remix pressure from Silvestre's friends and contemporaries - the Lisbon crew of Príncipe! DJ Firmeza is up first, pushing the tempo way up on 'Yeah', turning it into a banging kuduro rave monster, propulsive batida drums upping the temperature. DJ Lilocox follows with an intense remix of 'Demónios Na Cabeça', converting it into a percussive trancey big-room bomb. Layers of mixed afro/gqom drums follow a strict samba-like rhythm forcing hands and possibly the ceiling higher.

The city came alive at night, awakened from its dormant state. The streets, lit in colours of red, green and purple, rang with the buzz of incessant chatter, brimming with thrill seekers finding a place to house them until the early hours. People stumbled out of one venue and into the next, looking for the next adventure, another surprise waiting for them around the corner. There was so much to discover, this wasn't a time for sleep.

Two Twirl Recordings veterans have teamed up for the latest release on the Berlin-based label run by DJ and producer Alinka. Majorettes is the new supergroup made up of The Bunker New York affiliate Justin Cudmore and The Carry Nation (Nita Aviance and Will Automagic), who've teamed up for a three tracker aimed firmly at the dance floor. Across the EP, titled Records Dept., pulsating rhythms meet haunting vocals, while percussive house frameworks are laced with dramatic pads and breakbeats are propped up by groovy basslines.

Lisbonian, Silvestre returns to his sonic home-from-home Meda Fury for another fantastic five tracker; three originals from the man himself and two huge remixes from one of the most respected labels in Lisbon - Príncipe.

We premiere the first on the front; 'Todos Bem', which literally translates as 'All Good' in Portuguese. Whether the title doubles up as an incredibly modest description of the track or perhaps Silvestre's humble nod of approval towards his own work, it needs to be said that our assessment of this cut and the album as a whole is perhaps a little more enthusiastic. Tudos Bem, starts as an organ-led scratch-fest, with a tight auto-tune vocal from Silvestre himself, before mutating into an anthemic/hedonistic 303 acid and whistle banger. This euphoric string-laden track provides a morish listen, equally suitable for home or a dusty distant dancefloor.

Zuntyh delivers 'Space 707' to the YUNG DUMB Records catalog to cap off summer 2020.  The France-native offers up four classically-influenced and floor-effective house numbers, varying in energy and mood, but never straying from a heavy focus on the rhythms and emotive grooves.  Jim Casanova's cameo appearance on the b-side comes with a left field club hybrid of the EP's most driven track, 'Work It', to close out the EP. Demónios na Cabeça

The constant, growing speed at which "it" was flying through the extraterrestrial sky made all surrounding objects blur in his peripheral vision. Twinkling stars in the distance had caught their last, deadly breath long before "it" could give them a passing glance; all of space's multi-formed contents, debris, living things microscopic and non, were instantly disintegrated at a distance of around 100 feet from his mercury-like skin. "It" was an unstoppable being, with a blisteringly, unearthly surface temperature that made interaction with other living creatures impossible. "It" could swear that sometimes it could hear the wailing of some of those deep space creatures, but it was no respite from universal solitude.

Warsaw-based producer Earth Trax returns to Shall Not Fade to release 'LP2', the follow up to his brilliant debut album for the label earlier this year. The 11-track release is filled with warm, dreamy soundscapes supported by a backbone of sturdy, solid beats, as can be heard on "Purge", which we've got the premiere of today. Expect an ominous slumber-like techno journey through space and time with celestial synths that soar atop a thumping, corrosive kick and ghostly vocal samples.
