In this first season of Dolongué, Américo’s yield for the season is destroyed by an unexpected storm. Once the storm clears, the community discusses the effects of climate change and Queen Dolo begins to organize a risk management committee. Américo’s wife, Doña Martinha realizes her friend Farida is pregnant and encourages her to go to the clinic as soon as possible. Farida tests positive for HIV, and the series follows her and Carlos as they navigate the news.
 
This EE series is part of the Healthy and Resilient Communities program led by CUAMM with funding from the the Government of Flanders. The program addresses maternal and child health, sexual reproductive health and disaster risk management in Tete province, Mozambique especially among vulnerable populations including  women affected by HIV/AIDS, disability or poor nutrition.
