Sol Selectas Records specializes in deep tribal dance music, mixing folkloric sounds and ancient rhythms with modern electronic grooves. Founded by DJ/Producer Sabo in New York City in 2006,  the label is now run by Sabo and his wife Helia Jamali, whose artwork and design  re-awakened the spirit of Sol Selectas, through her visual interpretation of the audio frequencies.

Kaos Kid better known as Charlie Beardmore has run club night Glamorous LDN for the past 10 years.

2017 was the birth of Glamorous Recordings and since then Charlie has released a number of tracks alongside some other popular artists producing at the moment.

Charlie had success by getting to Number 1 in the Top 100 Track it Down House chart with “To The Funk” in 2017 followed by a Number 2 track “Bounce With It”.
Glamorous Recordings also had another Number 1 track with Daniel Anthony’s “So Good” in 2018.

More success came in 2020, getting in to the Top 10 Traxsource Chart for the first time with "Redtube" and is now regularly breaking in to the Top 100. 

Charlie had 21 releases in 2021 on labels such as Anonymous Black, Smoking Joe, Below Deck and Glamorous Recordings.

2022 and 2023 was just as busy with 8 releases on Glamorous Recordings, Rudeboy Music and LW Recordings including a top ten position with "Open Your Eyes".

2024 saw more releases with some huge hitting tracks.

With more music scheduled for release this year expect it to be a busy 2025 for Kaos Kid.

Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.

Digital creative type, gamer, music lover and occasional DJ. Currently living between Dubai & Seoul after setting sail from Sunderland in 2010. As a young designer, club and music culture was the driving force for his work, producing artwork for local club nights and record labels in the North East of England. In particular, DJ mix cds and their packaging were always his 'holy grail of design', especially those from Renaissance, Global Underground and Good Looking Records. It's a pleasure to share these discs back with people and they still influence our tastes to this day.

Lara Schneider has been DJing for 24 years starting out as one of the very first female DJs to ever represent psytrance in Seattle. Now playing mostly techno, she has dj'd in every kind of venue imaginable, from abandoned train tunnels and clubs to forests, deserts, farms, hills, and snowy mountains all around the Pacific Northwest. Whatever the setting, she has always been guided by one of the truest principle of Djing: A direct and spontaneous relationship to the energy of the crowd. She eschews pre-prepared sets in favor of improvisation, relying on her extensive and oft-replenished record collection and her sensitivity to the audience, both honed by many years of experience on both sides of the "stage."
These days, her ambition is to play more intimate gatherings, continuing to explore the ever-diversifying morphing of electronic music and the way it increasingly crosses over with other genres, with a keen sense for the explorations of the past.
