So when the burglar appeared
Slipping off his ring
Mighty Smaug felt not of fear
And laughed at the poor little thing
But with riddles and feigned adulation
The hobbit had the old monster fooled
And instead of being burnt in his hide
He slayed Smaug in that mountain of jewels
