Shemspeed is an independent recording label & promotional agency devoted to producing and developing dynamic multi-cultural artists and interactive media. Founded by Erez Safar, an American-Israeli DJ/Producer, Shemspeed promotes over 15 dynamic artists representing a wide range of genres including hip-hop, reggae, and rock. These artists include Y-Love (revolutionary Jewish hip-hop), Diwon (Yemenite / Sephardic hip-hop, Israeli music and more), DeScribe (soul-awakening dancehall, hip-hop, & soul), and Electro Morocco (Israeli rock, dance music.) Shemspeed artists, collectively showcasing the diversity in world Jewish music, have performed with musicians as varied as Snoop Dogg, Lou Reed, Idan Raichel and Eminem; they’ve been profiled in Rolling Stone, SPIN, The New York Times and XXL; and they’ve been seen and heard around the world on various TV appearances (Conan O’Brien, CBS and BBC World) and global radio. Shemspeed’s mission is unifying people through culture and education, celebrating diversity and common ground. The LowDown Brass Band is a uniquely strong representation of Chicago Music culture. This talented all horn band leans heavily on dancehall and street beat rhythm, with the energy of conscious hip hop, jazz, reggae, and soul.

Internationally acclaimed American/Israeli rock group Moshav began when childhood friends Yehuda (vocals, percussion) and Duvid (vocals, guitar) made music together on Moshav Mevo Modiin in Israel. The group was initially discovered by a group of American students traveling in Israel who heard the band play and raised money to bring them to the states for a college tour in the late 1990s. Soon after, Moshav relocated to Los Angeles where they continued to grow their fan base and began recording with some of the industry’s best.
 

  Continuously touring across the United States and the world, including festivals in Australia, Canada and Europe, Moshav built a large following. After releasing and selling close to 50,000 of their self produced albums- the band eventually caught the eye of producer Ron Aniello (Lifehouse, Guster, Barenaked Ladies). Together they recorded the album, Misplaced in 2006. Reviews for the record were highly favorable and the group toured heavily before teaming up again, in 2010, with Ron Aniello and Clif Norrell (R.E.M., Jeff Buckley, Sting) to create their album- Dancing in a Dangerous Word.
 

2012 saw Moshav on tour with Alex Clare as well as continuing to tour on their own throughout the USA and the world. The band recently released their ‘Shabbat Vol. 1’ influenced by their Sabbath’s with the beloved Reb Shlomo Carlebach. The deluxe version of ‘New Sun Rising’ will be released on Dec 14th, 2014 and features their smash single, “World on Fire” featuring Matisyahu.
