Paulo Chagas and I have made a number of internet collaborative albums together.
So when he said, let’s invite Henry Koek to join us, I did not fully know what would happen.

Henry Koek writes cosmic poems and makes shaman sounding percussive music,
so to our pleasure,….that is what blended into our mixes.

We invite you to partake with our poems set with music, and three instrumentals,
with a shaman inspired tone with all of our pieces. Please hear the music, like and comment!

This first album preview piece for commenting is based on a poem that Henry Koek wrote.

The event Bosun refers to is the eruption of Mount Asama in 1783, which instantly killed over 1,000 people. The toxic ash traveled 100 miles to Edo, making farmland useless and causing many more people to starve.
One of the four great haiku masters, Yosa Buson studied both Japanese and Chinese poetry. He was also an accomplished painter, and most of his poems were accompanied by paintings, resulting in a more diverse and individual set of works than the one by his main historical influence, Basho.

The mics were placed a few meters from a bird feeder at the edges of an immense forest area. The Ivarsbo lake is less then 500 meters away and it's a rainy day, intertwined with a swedish warm spring sun.
