Issiaka Dembélé’s remix album is a celebration of unity—where the ancestral rhythms of Mandé tradition meet the forward-thinking innovation of electronic music. Rooted in Issiaka’s griot heritage from Burkina Faso, this project honors centuries of storytelling and cultural connection while reimagining these sounds for a modern global audience.

This album wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible dedication and creativity of the electronic producers who joined the ALOM family to bring this vision to life. These talented artists, coming from diverse Western cultures and perspectives, worked tirelessly to weave their unique styles into Issiaka’s music, creating remixes that transcend boundaries. Each track reflects not only their technical skill but their deep respect for the cultural roots of the original compositions.

More than just a collection of remixes, this project symbolizes the power of collaboration and the beauty of merging traditions with contemporary soundscapes. It’s a bridge between worlds, blending Issiaka’s mastery of instruments like the balafon and kora with the cutting-edge energy of electronic production. Together, these artists have created something that’s not only innovative but deeply meaningful—a testament to the power of connection, teamwork, and shared purpose.

Jedes Jahr trifft sich eine wilde, kreative und liebevolle Community umgeben von einer traumhaften Bergkulisse, um bei einem Burning Man Event eine große Holz-Kreatur zu bauen und sie bei einer Zeremonie feierlich niederzubrennen. Radikale Offenheit, radikaler Selbstausdruck, gemeinschaftliche Anstrengungen und Dekommodifizierung sind Gebote, die den Iltis Burn zu einem einzigartigen Erlebnis für jeden Beteiligten machen - so auch für mich. 

Vor genau einem Jahr habe ich vor dieser wunderschönen, bunten Gemeinschaft mein DJ-Debüt gegeben. Ich war nervös und zerstreut, doch habe ich so viel Zuspruch und positives Feedback bekommen, dass ich wusste, ich möchte üben und lernen, um mit anderen das zu teilen, was ich selbst seit jeher als besten Freund betrachte; die Musik. In diesem Jahr merke ich, wie ich gewachsen, und dass ich auf dem richtigen Weg bin.

» Danke an die Iltis Burn Familie für das Erfüllen meines Herzenswunsches, die energetisch aufgeladene Community nach dieser besonderen, friedvollen Zeremonie wieder in Richtung Floor geleiten zu dürfen. 
» Danke an all die Burner, die mit mir die musikalische Reise unternommen haben, sei es auf oder neben dem Floor. Tanzend, stehend, sitzend oder liegend träumend. Mit offenen und geschlossenen Augen. Aber stets mit offenem Herzen.

Every year, a wild, creative and loving community surrounded by a dreamlike mountain backdrop comes together at a Burning Man event to build a large wooden creature and ceremoniously burn it down. Radical openness, radical self-expression, communal endeavour and decommodification are imperatives that make the Polecat Burn a unique experience for everyone involved - including me.

Exactly one year ago, I made my DJ debut in front of this beautiful, colorful community. I was nervous and distracted, but I received so much encouragement and positive feedback that I knew I wanted to practice and learn to share with others what I have always considered to be my best friend; music. This year I realize how I have grown and that I am on the right path.

Third Rail (Remixes) reimagines the original EP with five tracks, ranging from laid back downtempo to steady mid-tempo grooves. Whether you’re familiar with the original compositions or hearing them for the first time, you can still feel the original warmth created by Colour Your Mind’s use of acoustic instruments.

Judith Ahrends’ remix of Railroad Station weaves multiple layers of vocals into a rich, textured story. Each voice adds depth and dimension to the track while creating a somewhat dadaistic feeling - and we like that a lot. The interplay of harmonies and melodies creates a sense of movement, like overlapping threads that form an intricate tapestry. It’s a reimagining that feels both personal and expansive, inviting the listener to explore its many facets with each new listen.

We are glad to present the remixes pack of «@nikosh
- Kima» EP, where four distinct artists bring unique interpretations to the
original tracks, each adding a fresh sonic perspective.

@erhanyilmazedits takes «Gallo» into more profound, meditative territory,
transforming it into an entrancing 4/4 electronic journey. Hypnotic rhythms and
immersive textures pull you in, creating a groove that subtly takes over, making
your head nod in sync with its pulsating energy.

@jonasfasching brings his signature pumping electronic drive to the «Gallo»
remix, shaping a bold reinterpretation inspired by the original piano sample. He
builds a captivating atmosphere through an eﬀective chord progression, later
expanding it with an expressive jam session on the «Novation Peak», adding layers
of evolving synth textures.

@turuanasi delivers a joyful, dance-driven rework of «Lunar,» infusing it with a
soulful touch. A beautifully expressive trumpet solo intertwines with warm
«Rhodes» electric piano chords, crafting an uplifting groove that invites movement
and emotion in equal measure.

@amu_amu completely reshapes the «Kima» track with a deep, atmospheric
sound design. Layering recordings of external synths and intricate FX, he creates a
slow-burning, hypnotic downtempo trip. The track flows like an endless train
through dark and mysterious soundscapes, with the «Arturia PolyBrute» and
«Novation Andromeda» lends organic instability to the textures, resulting in an
experimental, otherworldly ambiance.
