Hailing from Cardiff, Red Telephone’s blend of melodic psych and darkwave has drawn comparisons to indie trailblazers MGMT, St. Vincent, and fellow Welsh cult favourites Super Furry Animals. The band’s critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Hollowing Out’, garnered media attention from BBC 6 Music, Radio X, and Under The Radar, being described by Clash as an “impressive and masterful debut”. 

Now, returning with their second album ‘Delay the New Day’, which is set for release on 31st Jan 2025, Red Telephone continue to make waves in the UK alternative scene. Exploring themes of paranoia, doubt and dissolution ‘Delay the New Day’ was arranged by the band in solitude in Cornwall and recorded semi-live. Driven by the quintet's knack for multi-instrumental intricacies and drawing on cinematic influences, Red Telephone’s latest work is bold and optimistic, while staying true to the unique style they established in their critically acclaimed debut.
