Der Pastor dort schnitt mir eine Grimasse, eine Freundin meiner Mutter behauptete, ich würde sie nicht mehr kennen. Die Günstlinge besassen dann noch die Unverfrorenheit, anzufragen, ob sie zusätzlich zum zu erbenden Haus, dass sie bekommen, gegebenenfalls noch meinen Lottogewinn obendrauf bekommen. Der Zeitpunkt war gekommen, endlich den Austritt aus solcher Glaubensgemeinschaft zu vollziehen.

Back at the start of lockdown, label boss Man Power set the challenge to remix a track he created that day in 2 hours.

The idea behind the challenge being to set yourself limitations as a producer - be that time, or only using certain software/equipment - and to finish the arrangement completely.

The amount of stellar remixes we received was astounding and hence we've arrived at this point, a compilation of all those amazing remixes being released on the label with all profits going to NHS Charities Together.

Man Power - It's Not A Competition (Amarcord Remix)

Scottish artist BTCOP aka Richard Chisholm joins Roam Recordings with two synth laden original tracks to form the Left Without Logic EP. The release is backed by remixes from Roam alumnus Moisees and Pino. Moisees pumps up the tempo of the title track into maintime territory while Pino smooths the edges and pushes it into a nice heady groove.

Mark Bailey aka MAN2.0 has been splicing together sounds longer than he can remember, as a teen he graced the microphones of some terrible covers bands as well as DJing some of the most hedonistic house parties that Hayes Town had to offer, while by day working at the local record store. After throwing away his guitars and buying an appregiator his music gained a bit of attention from the Ransom Note and was taken under the wing of Tronik Youth. From the age of 18 he regularly attended Fabric and the now defunct End nightclub and Turnmills immersing himself in London’s club scene. With forthcoming releases on Nein and Night Noise, he gets the opportunity to attempt to emulate the sounds of his heroes Laurent Garnier, Darren Emerson, Ivan Smagghe, Andrew Weatherall and Justin Robertson.

Telavivusession #24 - Guest Mix By MAN2.0 (London)

His home and studio - an exquisite apartment set upon three floors, located in the city's first and oldest quarter - became a trove of all of his sculpted creations. The rooms, fitted with large opaque windows that stretched out across tall, off-white walls, were filled with over 200 sculptures of varying sizes, some made of chalk and some generated from now unfortunately oxygenated bronze. The statues, in pure neo-Renaissance style, depicted an array of classical figures enacting diverse hedonistic activities. Some were drinking, some dancing and others were coily sharing a delicate romantic moment, all coming together in a great, immobile gathering.

Playground Records celebrates its 30th release with label co-founder Martin Noise's newest output. The four-track EP, titled DUI, features two original productions and two remixes by Bufi and Middle Sky Boom. Today we share the latter's remix of 'Pis Turístic', an organic, quasi-ritualistic track that features entrancing percussion and a mesmerising bassline that is perfectly accompanied by fluttering synths.

@VickyMontefusco doesn’t take a breath with his productions. The Italian artist performs once again at @Ninefont and time he brings us two tracks with "Forced EP", with the most purest Vicky's style, listening mixed styles from techno to indie with a trippy character.

As a complement, Daniel Monaco reverts Pluff with a warm and cinematic interpretation that takes us to the dance spirit of the 80s.

Quixotical Records is an Argentina/Lithuania-based record label, music channel, and party organizer founded in 2020 by Emmanuel Poulper (SXDNS146) and Aurum Miles. Focusing on indie dance filled with mysterious waves, drama, sex, and dark feelings, aiming at never losing the groove and driven by disco and techno influences with EBM flashes and electro pieces, the project has been making some noise and drawing the attention through their well-curated mixtapes and free edits. Now, with "QXT001", the first official release of Quixotical, the game will start for real. The Various Artists album features 17 artists and 13 tracks. Among the dream team brought together by the lads, some important names from the Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene: Alvee (FREEDL019), Colossio (SXDNS025), Csk (SXDNS088), Diego Montiel (SXDNS194), Fabio Me Llaman Soltero (SXDNS187), Fausto (SXDNS064), Man2.0 (SXDNS081), plus label bosses themselves, just to name a few.

The track we chose to premiere was made with love by Italian DJ and producer Francesco Mantovani aka Csk. His contribution to the compilation brings Francesco exploring his darkest and most obscure side. Owner of an impeccable technique, the veteran producer blends successfully and seamlessly his old and new influences, creating something fresh devoted to the dance floor. The thick bassline, the percussive riffs, and the menacing synth pad definitely put Csk’s theme amid the highlights of the release. Watch out Quixotical, peeps! It came to stay!
