Without further ado, allow me to introduce my next guest who goes by the name of DJ Boogie Bang.

Boogie is a selector from Indianapolis where he’s been djing for 13 years. He’s mostly known for his smooth blends between genres but he loves playing R&B. I became familiar with DJ Boogie Bang, by way of his “Not Really Radio” series which you can find on his page at soundcloud.com/notreallyradio which he’s been working on bringing back so make sure you give him a follow to stay up to date on all of his future projects.

Coming in at around the 20 minutes, he gives us a super sultry 60 minute mix which features edits of some of our favorite R&B tracks.

Mercury Landing Episode #022 Feat. DJ Boogie Bang

Born and raised in the city of London to 1st generation Caribbean mother, The Style Siblings are considered as one of the most stylish electronic music duo’s next to emerge from the UK scene. Since childhood the siblings were exposed to a wide variety of music genres which led the siblings to start making their first ever music production on a Sony Playstation at the age of 12-13.

The siblings began their careers as a stylist after studying fashion and textiles which then led them to become bloggers/Influencers whilst designing and styling for numerous brands, dressing artists and radio/TV personalities. The pair got back into music and went on to DJing at fashion week events and producing soundtracks for social media campaigns for brands such as Cat Footwear, Blok London and HighSnobiety.

The siblings quote themselves as specialising in - ‘music that makes you move.’ Their style is an electronic array of up-tempo beats with punchy bass, colourful notes & vibrant tones. Yielding musical influences from Acid House, Grime, Hip-Hop, Jungle, RnB and of course the Caribbean influence of Soca music. With a fusion blend of all these influences TSS have now created their own musical sound.

Greetings Friends, Welcome back to Mercury Landing.

Thank you so much for coming back and tuning in, we really hope your’e enjoying yourselves here. 

On this episode we have a very special by the name of SuperCoolDes. 

@supercooldes is a selector representing Long Island, NY where him and his partner, @therasdiggy, run the @ALL2GTHR collective.

ALL2GTHR  is known for throwing some of the most stellar parties in the New York area. In February, they hosted an all day party called “Transitions” at the Gradient, in Brooklyn. Give them a follow on Instagram @ALL2GTHR to stay updated on event updates and music. Additionally, @SuperCoolDes is known for his excellent representation of the best known and unknown creatives in the industry. In December, @ALL2GTHR  released one of the best compilations of 2019 called “ALL Family” which features artists like @wavy_bagels, @bostonchery and @thirdletterc3. Go check that out on their SoundCloud page @ALL2GTHR where you can also find the compilation for download.

It is my absolute honor to present to you, a back to back set, that @supercooldes and I put together for you. He kicks off the first three tracks, and then we switch it up every 3 tracks, creating a nice blend of music ranging from funk, to some of our favorite edits. He ends it with a really dope solo and I’m really excited for you guys to hear it. This mix was made with so much love and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.
