I followed Jesus to what I thought was a hearse
And this man he did not take his last breath
But we still stumbled to the curb like a walk of death 
And in an instant nobody was there
And I tried to scream
But it came out as a body shake and a where am I? 
I’m on the road that almost killed me
And he said I know I watched it in its entirety 
And I asked and he said his name was Matthew but that didn’t matter to me
I looked down and my legs bleeding and battered and he asked another man if he had served
He said no it’s just my masonry dog tags dangling at the intersection of Skillman and a road that almost killed me
